FLO - "Caught Up" + Debut Album

The song does reveal itself to be pretty explicit once you’ve heard it a few times. Makes me like it more to be honest, they went there.

Oh I love it too, don't get me wrong, just thinking if it wouldn't have been better for them to come back with something a bit safer, especially when they're still working on establishing themselves, building a fanbase and so on.

she/they
I can't help but wonder if this song would have connected more if it was a bit tamer, like it's not quite explicit but I feel like lines like "if he keeps this up I might need crutches" and a few others might have been a bit too much both for radio and for younger fans (which I imagine they have a few). I mean, obviously they can sing about whatever they want to, but it was definitely a bit of a shift compared to their older material, which was all pretty "family-friendly".
Yes, very family friendly music here!
• "I saw her panties on the bathroom floor."
• "I'mma put your shit in a cardboard box."
• "Come take your shit 'cause you can go stay at hers."
• "Say you want my body, body, but you ain't never do a thing about it."
• "I don’t want nobody, body who talk the talk but don’t do shit about it."
• "Say you gonna put it down for sure."
• "Arch my back like it's supposed to be."
• "Undress me tonight."
• "You can't handle all this nana."
• "That ho look like she could be my cousin on some half-sister shit."
• "So I talk my shit... and your new bitch like my pics on the 'gram."
• "Oh, I wish you and that new bitch a sweet life."
• "I know you're with some other bitch."

I mean, I put "family friendly" in quotes for a reason dd. Of course they were hardly making music for children, but it was still quite tame. Walk Like This is definitely spicier than anything they did before (which, again, isn't meant as a criticism, it's just something that might make a difference when it comes to radio play etc).

Far raunchier songs have been radio played and hits. I think maybe the world just isn’t interested in late 90s throwback girl group r&b and that’s why they’re not taking off.

I do like that the cover kind of matches the Walk Like This cover.

I just don’t think the logo and fonts match the aesthetic of the photo.
