  1. I could literally post hundreds but this has to start.

I know it was a top 10 hit and all that but it rarely gets mentioned these days.
S1973, mump boy, Baby Clyde and 6 others like this.
  2. It was the last song ever to be played on BBC Radio on AM frequency.
  3. Robbie liked it enough to cover it on 'Rudebox'!

  4. In the same vein ...

S1973, mguyb, mump boy and 5 others like this.
  5. I LOVE that! Especially the line 'To stand outside the council house'
Hairycub1969, Rooneyboy and Zarjazz like this.
  6. Kind of in a similar vein:

S1973, Disco Blister, LuDux and 8 others like this.
  7. I'm hoping you do.
  8. If I could spell his name I would tag him... fellow PJer Nlg introduced me to this one on his Balearic mix tape series

  9. Still in 1985 ....
S1973, Baby Clyde, Wishlight and 7 others like this.
  10. Oddball US pop (I think it's pop anyway?) from 88...

  11. Would this count?

  12. Back to 1982 for my last one of the evening.
S1973, MrOCB and Zarjazz like this.
  13. Yep, for sure.
Hairycub1969 and Empty Shoebox like this.
  14. No idea why this isn't on youtube.. or anywhere else for that matter (another scrub job?) but it's a dark 80s ballad and very very cool!

    Swans Way - Stay

it's on their Fugitive Kind album so easily available to buy. I expect we might see more from them on this thread... hope so anyway!

  15. From the remnants of this band, Barry Harris would form Thunderpuss with Chris Cox.
  16. I suspect I will be frequenting this thread regularly!

It annoys me with 80s compilations/radio stations/video channels etc that they seem to all stick to the same core songs and acts. You would think at times there were only about 100 hit singles in the 80s.

For the purposes of this thread I will avoid my favourite flops and stick to Top 20 hits that you literally never, ever hear anymore anywhere, starting with this Top 10 gem

    Warning: may contain puffball skirts.
  17. I love Pepsi & Shirlie's debut album! I only discovered it in the mid 00s, but it's full of gems as good as, if not better than) Heartache.
    phoenix123 and idratherjack like this.
  18. It is a very strong set of mid 80s pop! The album tracks are far better than they have any right to be, Crime of Passion being a particular favourite.

I always thought it should have been called Heartache though, not All Right Now ie named after the only cover and worst song on the album!
Eric Generic, Booers and Rooneyboy like this.
