This one, too. According to Lastfm, it is the 10th song I have listened to the most these last 12 years...
I am having a La Grande Sophie day, I didn't spend enough time with her last two albums and they have clicked big time. What an underrated artist (does she do well in France anyone?) I have three of her four 'later' period albums, the pre 2009 albums might be a bit too rock for me. Nice Anoraak Remix:
Okay so @berserkboi has got me hooked on the Matahari album by L'imperatrice.....and QoBuz has (almost) their whole discography at 50% off at the moment....so, the question is, would the rest of their earlier work have the same appeal? It's interesting that Matahari is their only full album to date, yet they have several EPs and Mini-albums.
I used to be up to date with French pop around 2002-2007 when I was studying French, but these days I find it really hard to find anything I like in the French charts because it's seemingly so dominated by rap music! Can anyone highlight some of the big mainstream pop and modern ballads that have done well in the last 5 years or so? (a lot of the stuff in this thread is a bit too edgy for me)
The crown prince of glossy French pop has another duet out. I don't really understand how he is not more popular in these parts.
Don't put your fingers in* my ass anymore, Don't call me "your tigress" anymore. Best lyrics ever. *yes, "in".
Yseult released BRUT, her third EP last November Here’s a video she did for COLORS to promote her EP. She’s also got two Victoires de la musique 2021 nominations : Female Revelation and Original Song with "Corps"
