Reese Witherspoon and especially Christina Applegate were amazing as Rachel's sisters!
  2. Exactly this for me too. I was obsessed with it in its last few years (I'm late to everything), but the fact that I have all but Series 10 on video shows my love.

I have many, many, many highlights but one that particularly comes to mind is when Monica works in a themed bar and has to do the YMCA dance; I cried hysterically with laughter many times at that.

And yes Reese Witherspoon! I love those episodes. "You know what happened to the girl who tried too much too fast, don't you?" "No, what?" "She... she died, Jill." For whatever reason that cracks me up. Jennifer Aniston has a free-pass from me because of Friends.

I have to keep reminding myself that Jennifer Aniston was once a gifted comedic actress and that she didn't build her career on magazine covers and nothing movies.
  4. Friends had it's time with me however after the MILLIONS of repeats it got a bit too much. Although my favourite bit ever is when Joey's on that came show where you have to guess words(?!) and he comes out with (to "It's white") "Paper. Snow. A GHOST" - they way he says ghost makes me laugh.
  5. Damn, in answer to your question I was going to say Rachel's sister Amy! There have been so many great guest stars, one of the sadder ones to watch now is Brad Pitt because the whole point of his appearance was that they were in love in real life and on the show he hated her and...well now it's all just a bit messed up.

Helen Baxendale (Emily) was brilliant, I actually really liked her and wouldn't have minded if "Ross And Rachel" never happened again (this, of course, before she turned psycho). Just watching the bit yesterday where she says "Oh no, I got it from the gift shop. They have really lax security!"

Erm...trying to think of others! There are far too many. Although there are too many amazing bits of his to mention, I think that Mike (if he can be counted as a guest star) is one of the best.

"Oh by the way. I'm awesome."
  6. I loved when he mimed playing the piano in Central Perk to prove he could actually play!

Ooh another great guest appearance was when Phoebe was teaching Chrissie Hynde how to play 'Smelly Cat'!
  7. Chandler's bit in the ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre was brilliant.

    "And now you're choking".
  8. I was watching some of the old seasons again a few weeks ago after a long time and it's so funny discovering who has had guest appearances. People I didn't know about had, such as Tate Donovan. I only knew him from O.C..
He was also part of one of my favourite moments ever. I love when the girls try on the wedding dresses and then there's a knock on the door and Rachel thinks it's Chandler so she says "Yes I do", but it's Josh and they've had this fight before about things getting on too fast etc. Haha!
  9. One of the best comedies, if not the best. I also recently bought the boxset and I'm so far up to series 4. I can't think of any show that managed to go 5 whole seasons without a duff episode.

And it stayed brilliant (apart from season 7 which was a bit wonky at times, and not all of season 10 was up to scratch). 95% of it is hilarious.

'The One Where Everybody Finds Out' has to be the best episode.

Am I the only one who really doesn't like season 1.. not sure what it is, maybe comedic timing was different back then..
  11. I only watch the show on Channel 4 and E4 so I don't know what season is which, I only know if the episodes are older judging by the quality of the episode and the hair.
  12. My favourite episode is the one where Phoebe gets a job singing songs for children at a Library. I love her songs.

I also think that's the episode where Ross is reunited with his monkey and they all sing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" at the end, which is great.

In a "Favourite Character" poll in the US, Monica came at the bottom by quite a long margin, causing Courtney Cox to go to the writers and demand that Monica be made more likeable/funny. This happened at the end of Series 2.

Hence why both of these things happen Series 3 onwards.
  14. I don't like Monica very much, but wasn't she originally to play Rachel and then turned it down? Cause that is what I remember, being told at some point. And the other day my cat reeked of that weird fabric cleaner, and I sang smelly cat to her as I washed her in the tub. She was hissing up a storm!
  15. The shark porn episode is terrible, as is the one where Chandler hires the cleaner and Monica thinks shes stealing from them.
  16. Agreed they're both shockingly bad episodes. The episode where Monica was making the christmas candy and there were riots for it was great, I was watching that episode earlier along with the New Years Eve dance episode - that dance!!!!

'Hey I was thinking maybe I should break out the you know...Ross-atron!'
  17. I still find myself quoting Friends more than I probably should, which is a fair indication of how much I loved the show.

Favourite episodes? Not sure of the titles but, (I think) The One With The Wedding Dress is fantastic for Rachel's immortal "I dooooooo" when she accidently answers the door to to a potential love interest. And the one with the Mockolate is pretty classic too, for my favourite ever Phoebe line: "Sweet Jesus! This is what evil must taste like!"

I want to see Friends now, and all my DVDs are at the other house. Fuck!
  18. That was on E4 today! It's the run of episodes with Helen Baxendale in, you can reallly sense the lack of chemistry between her and the main cast.
  19. I have all the seasons on dvd and have watched each episode probably 20-25 times...I am a freak. It's ok, I've accepted it and embrace it. I kill everyone and anyone at Scene It Friends Edition.

I think I'll pop in a dvd right now.
  20. I've been told many a times that I am essentially the real-life version of Ross.
