    Favourite gaming-related moment of 2018

It's a tie between replaying Tomb Raider 1 and 2 with a newly made friend, and the incredible video game rate feat. Lady Cruncher

The Ultimate Gamejustice by the amazing @Animalia

Even though my favorite team (Reciprocity) lost this match, it one of the most exciting games in years if you ask most Halo fans. Reciprocity looked like they had control, but Spartan's controller dies right as he is grabbing a crucial sniper spawn and they never recover, but even then the game goes 49-49 in some intense moments before losing on the final kill.

Playing Fortnite with my boyfriend for the first time. Neither of us were really taking the game seriously and it was actually a huge laugh.

    Resident Evil 2 remake presentation

Being the HUGE God of War fan that I am, and having played these games since age 14, when Kratos finally dug out the "Blades of Chaos" I was instantly hit with a rush of nostalgia and excitement in ways I can't put into words. It's very rare a game gets me to be verbally excited in ways that segment and immddiate action sequence did.

The post-Animal Crossing announcement fake-out-but-actually-yes HYSTERIA

Kingdom Hearts III slowly solidifying into an actual real game with a genuine release date after over a decade of waiting.

Probably experiencing PAX East for the first time--and experiencing the Final Fantasy XV orchestral concert there. The whole convention was like summer camp for nerds and I lived for every minute of it, even as I walked (according to my phone) 20,000 steps one day in the convention hall playing game demos and talking with small developers, all as I dealt with a concussion. Commitment. (And probably stupid, in hindsight, but whatever.) Otherwise, probably the last few hours of God of War. Riveting stuff.

By some amazing coincidence, so many of my absolute favourite series that hadn't had any new games in years (Dragon Quest, Valkyria Chronicles, Ni no Kuni, Soul Calibur, Spyro, etc) all getting new titles in 2018, and them all being fantastic.

  5. Play Fire Emblem characters and spam counters!
  6. I love this forum.
  7. Wait, I'm the only voter for Shadow Of The Tomb Raider? I hate this forum.
  8. Still more voters than Red Dead Redemption 2 got ddd

  9. This was a cute little thing. Thanks, @soratami!

  10. Thanks! It was enjoyable to do and it's always great to see how the forum has fantastic taste in videogames. I mentioned earlier I just wanted to do something simple and straightforward here, but if I do it next year maybe I'll try to do something a bit more elaborate, with its own thread, etc.
    evilsin and eliminathan like this.
  11. I had no idea Ace Attorney 7 is on the horizon. I assume that's coming to Switch? Hope we get more info on that in the next Direct.

  14. Nearing the end of Tokyo Mirage Sessions, and I can't see why Atlus or Nintendo wouldn't want to just port this to Switch? It's essentially a lighter version of the more recent Persona (post-Persona 3) games, with a small set of unique dungeons and 3-part sidequests for each supporting character rather than a full-blown Social Link.

It was criminally under-appreciated just due to being a Wii U game, but I think the built-in install rate of the Switch could make it a savvy financial move (especially if Persona 5 is actually a contractual Playstation exclusive like I've seen theorized elsewhere).

    Anyway, wig:

  16. As much as Ace Attorney has jumped the shark, I'm still perched for it. That's my childhood right there.
  17. Has it though? The two 3DS games were fantastic. Spirit of Justice is easily one of my favourites.
  18. I am addicted to this RE2 dlc and I can’t even beat a 45 minute run on the harder ones. Dddd
  19. I read there are 99 endings in Detroit: Become Human, is that true?

Is there a full guide on how to achieve those so I can check it out? I am still debating whether I'll do it though, I think I am halfway. I might just see everything on Youtube. I mean, wow, I thought Heavy Rain had too many endings... I like options but having too many is annoying.
  20. Well, your choices/actions affect how each character's story plays out, so there are a lot of different variables in how things can turn out. Did you beat the game yet? It's probably best to just play normally at first, and after you beat it you can follow the game's flowchart to see things play out differently.
