The Next 2 U rollout was so frustrating. First it was withdrawn after a day, then postponed, then withdrawn again and replaced with a new version.
And an awful version at that! They should have kept the original version but done a better video than that one in the bar they filmed? Where Gina was perving over a gay guy.

Yeah that was odd. I think she release it and then Discipline offered to throw some money behind it and she couldn't refuse, it could have worked out had she/they stuck around for a follow up single.

I agree that it was incredibly frustrating when campaigns got abandoned. Tonight’s the Night hit her very hard as she really did put her all into that campaign, hence the planned release for Spring 2007 being scrapped. She was still going to press ahead with the follow up to Next 2 You, however personal circumstances got in the way.

Credit where credit’s due, the whole debut album campaign was rolled out very well.

I so want Night On Fire. Who can get me this. Wondering when Warner will drop the Everytime I Fall single and Gimme Some Love mixes with the single version.

And also wondering when they are gonna drop them all on iTunes. I don’t have Spotify so gagging for what’s already been put up on there... especially the Ti Amo mixes.

Do you HAVE to buy them from iTunes? They are all on Google Play and Amazon as MP3s, so it's likely they are on every music download site EXCEPT iTunes!!

Oh my god I actually had no idea... I’ve got so used to iTunes that I forget you can buy stuff else where! How embarrassing for me haha

Thanks for the heads up there!

That was the original version called "only in my dreams" that was intended for get up and dance, but was removed at the last minute and remixed by point 4 for a single release.

Apparently, Ooh Aah was the first ESC song I ever heard, if only unknowingly. As a 2 year old, my cousin used to play it. (I remember her playing Horny at around the same time, but this somehow slipped past my memory.)

Geekish fact but I noticed on Spotify that for the first time the proper Motiv8 version of Ooh Aah is Gina’s top song on Spotify. It still has notably less streams than that awful scouse house mix but hopefully it will gain ground.

I tried asking my guy at Warner about when the Gimme Some Love single with the single Mix was coming online but didn’t hear back on that point.

I felt so bad watching this interview where she begs people to buy her music like its her last chance. I feel like buying the album but its not on iTunes Dddddd

It was heartbreaking to watch that unfold- she put so much into that campaign, with lots of ideas to follow up (acoustic performances of Tonight’s the Night and Ti Amo were going to be filmed, there was a follow up single already in the pipeline) and then her personal life took a bit of a sad turn and it pretty much derailed everything.

The sad thing for me is I was there on my own all night (couldn’t get anyone else to go with me), got in a cloudy mood and decided not to bother with the meet and greet after as I thought there’s be another opportunity. MISTAKE.

What happened in her personal life?
