Gina G

A rich husband.

I know what it is about the track that jars it in the 90s: Horn section.

Unless it's a Trevor, there should be no horns in a 21st Century pop single. No no no no no no no. It's just wrong. Stick a sizzling synth in instead, it just sounds that bit more credible.

The man with the big hair in the video scares me.

For the Fresh album alone, Gina G deserves to have as many tries she likes.

The video concept was ripped from the Sex & the City episode where Carrie models and falls over.

Good on Gina though for being one of the first to use David LaChappelle on an album cover before the A-listers did.

Bless her for trying!! I think the song is cute - I don't think she's expecting a big hit with this - surely its just to keep her head afloat in the gay scene? She always a special guest somewhere in Soho! I can see this being played plenty in g-a-y bar for example - which is where I think this is only intended!!

I genuinely don't think it sounds dated. Some of the stuff from her Get Up And Dance album sounds like it could have been recorded around the same time as Fresh. But Tonight's The Night sounds no younger than 2005 I reckon. I understand it's been re-jigged since its originals airing at London Pride 2005 too.

She'd orgasm at a number 28 placing.

To be honest I think the woman deserves credit for managing to get HMV to stock it. Well done to her I say. Just hope she can get it on iTunes and the like.

I agree i think its about time that we have so pop back in the charts. I have pre ordered it too cant wait to hear the Moto Blanco mixes either.

She is doing something right as its gone back in to the music week charts at number 10.

No i agree i think this song is not being given the credit it deserves at all. The video is stunning and the track makes me wanna get up and dance big time.
I think dannii minogue should take a leaf out of Gina G book and come back with a video of this quality .

She performed at Poptastic in Manchester last night, a lot better than when I last saw her in 2003, she did a lot of old singles which none of the freshers knew, and then the new one which was cool. She was a bit desperate when telling people about next weeks release though...

What was her setlist?

Erm off the top of my head, and bearing in mind I was drunk it went something like..

Ti Amo
I Belong To You
Fresh
Tonights the Night

Encore (she even changed her outfit oooh!) - Ooh aah Just A  Little Bit

I'm sure there was at least one more than that but I can't remember, Ti Amo is a guess as well I'm sure my flat mate said that was it, I listened to it on the album but I have no recollection, sorry I was very wasted!

The theme was sexy FBI agent stylie and she had two dancers too who wore belts and some form of shirt with barely any buttons, I think they forgot it wasn't a strip club but a QUEER event.

just had an email from g-a-y
she is going to be a judge at porn idol on monday night and if you take a copy of tonights the night on sat 7th oct you will get £2 off admission price and gina will sign it for you

hopefully bump up a few more copies
defo buying it on monday

I hope this is a hit, I really do. I have loved Gina G since way back in 1996, I was slightly obsessed with her at the time. Having met her she seems like a nice woman, and she deserves to go at least top 40 with the track, whilst it is nothing really that groundbreaking, is still a catchy enough pop ditty that would have gone top 10 back in the late 90s, but I think she'll be happy with a top 30/40 hit...

Admittedly, she is nice, but that alone doesnt entitle her to a top 40 hit. I just don't think the song's strong enough - it wouldn't've done well in the 90s, and it won't do well now (IMHO etc).

Better song and yeah sure go gina, but not with Tonight's The Night.

Shame! :(

I was there last night at Poptastic, it was held at the Ritz and not the usual Mutz Nutz and it was packed.

Gina sang 2 new songs first, which my mate said are off her most recent cd then I Belong To You, Fresh, Tonights The Night and the Ooh Ahh.

She even had support too, a new group called Beyond who were rather good. I was speaking to them afterwards and they were all really nice. One of the lads even had a Kylie t shirt on!!!

Oh are they the mixed-sex group? The ''new Pop'', hopefully in music rather than chart positions.
