This was so nice to see in my release radar this week! Is this the start of more to come or is it just random, I wonder? Would be great to see the other mixes put out there at some point.

I was disappointed they didn't find her to cameo in the Eurovision film - though there was an outfit that was almost a homage.

No I was just as surprised to see this! My release radar came up with the Fresh album and I got really excited thinking there was something new new but alas!

It’s a bit of an odd mix for Todd Terry - not that dancey. I wish they’d make the single mix of Gimme Some Love available! The album version is WEAK in comparison.

The version of Gimme some love on Spotify is different to the version on the CD the mix is ever so slightly different.

We were lucky to get these digital singles, but yeah, kinda wish they'd fill the blanks now...

How so? A different version to what was on the cd of the album?

The production is just ever so slightly different. Little bit rougher, some of the backing vocals are different.

I'll try and do a proper comparison with both versions this weekend

Edit a quick listen now and jts the blippy drum sample that's louder on the cd, and the chorus production is completely different

Version on Fresh

Version on 2019 digital release.

Sounds like an earlier mix on the digital release. It really stuck out because I listened to Fresh! A lot.

is this the same as the album digital version or the cd album version?

There’s definitely a difference on Spotify. The album version sounds more like a demo. Perhaps it’s been remastered a bit too much?

I wish they’d put the other remixes and video mix up for Gimme Some Love. I also love the Metro mix for Everytime I Fall.

Gimme Some Love should have been huge, such bad/unfortunate timing. Everyone went out and bought Candle In The Wind instead.

My cd singles are at my dads but am sure this was my go to as well.

That's the version that was on fresh and the cd single as "(album version)" ...the digital version on fresh is deffo different. It wasn't on the original release in 1997

Would it have been that much bigger a hit had Princess Diana’s death and radios shift to solemn music not happened? She was already on the law of diminishing returns and great as the single mix was, I can’t see the track have been much more than a #19 hit. Did Woolworths stock it?

Well it did OK in America so reckon it would have done alright.

That’s a good point actually. I remember getting the CD single from HMV instead of my local Woolworths. I always remember there being lots of Fresh! and Ti Amo CD singles in the bargain bin at my local Woolworths. Maybe that’s why!

That’s amazing news about all the Eternal era singles being on Spotify now.

We now need Love The Life, Heaven & Boots put on there! Haha
