hello and welcome to the third annual popjustice chart rate.

    Things you might ask me-
    what is a PopJustice chart?
    what happened to tastemakers?
why are you so obsessed with the palette effect?
why all the horrific text alignments?
should you really be hosting another rate?

    To which I will reply-
    only the worthy know.

    And by worthy I mean-
    people who answered my tags
    people who crunched their playcounts
    people who promo-ed new music
    people who didn't swerve voting
something that takes LITERALLY TEN MINUTES TOPS

If you did literally none of those things-
    your redemption starts now

Each month, from January 2018 to December 2018, the beautiful people of PopJustice voted for their ten favourite songs. Except for January, April, and July, you all trusted me to create spreadsheets, crunch numbers, mess up results, and entertain the masses. Basically, I staged a coup to permanently host the PopJustice charts. A chart we could call our own, one far away from the ravages of the tasteless "General Public." Only the elite have made it here, the top five songs from every month compiled into one beautiful playlist (plus two songs that only made the yearly top 10). After hosting the infamous Winners Rate Pt. 2, I really don't have the time for people shitting on genres or artists they hate yet again. So instead participants will vote only for their favourite songs, leaving all of that specific negativity behind. The worst you can do to a song is not vote for it. There are sixty songs, so I am giving each voter THREE Eurovision style ballots to submit (or thirty songs). Why thirty? There were concerns that people wouldn't listen to all the songs, so this should hopefully encourage full listening schedules. I'm not going to be giving quizzes to determine if you actually listened to everything, but it is strongly recommended. And yes, you must use all thirty of your votes or your ballot will be disqualified. THESE RULES ARE NOT UP FOR DEBATE. They worked perfectly last year, there's no need to reinvent the wheel.

Here is an example of what your ballot should look like-

    12 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3
    10 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3
    8 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3
    7 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3
    6 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3
    5 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3
    4 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3
    3 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3
    2 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3
    1 - Song 1, Song 2, Song 3

  2. If you have any questions, please ask!
  3. Some seriously amazing songs here.
  4. Voted! Looks like I'm joining Kpopjustice this round - you guys voted in some bangers!
evilsin, He, Salami and 10 others like this.
  5. I don't think I voted last year, so this should be interesting. Putting together my ballot is going to be so difficult.
evilsin, GimmeWork and ohnostalgia like this.
  6. There isn't enough Hayley Kiyoko on that list, granted I didn't discover her music until the beginning of this year and I wasn't sending charts last year but still I'm disappointed in you all.

You certainly tried to make up for it with the Allie X stanning though.
  7. I already have four ballots and I didn’t even start tagging. You’re the best.
  8. Wouldn't it be a good idea to take Azealia Banks from the list after those anti-abortion tweets? It feels extremely uncomfortable to still give her a platform.
  9. She was problematic before and people still voted for her, so...

  11. Also if we go down that road then I could easily make a case to get rid of Ariana. So we’re sticking with the list we came up with otherwise it will get messy.

Just don’t vote for Azealia or stream her song on the playlist.
  12. Me voting problematic (white) popstars cause the full ballot was mandatory
LE0Night, Posh Spears, Serg. and 4 others like this.
  13. Yeah, based on some her 'antics', I’ve quarantined my enthusiasm for Ariana a lot in 2019. That said, I decided I’m putting on my 2018 virtual reality goggles to go back and rate her songs here... because I was really feeling her there for awhile. As such, my ballot will reflect a lot of my 2018 Ariana love.
  14. There sure are a lot of Allie X songs here.

    I'm voting!

edit: Holy shit, Carly's song came out in NOVEMBER?
  15. I idea what I'm gonna do about Azealia. Anna Wintour was easily one of my favourite and most played songs from last year, but voting for someone we now know in 2019 to be a pro-lifer feels gross.
  16. constantino, Oleander, Serg. and 3 others like this.
  17. Allie almost charted another song, but Focus missed out by one spot.

Queen of PJ Chart friendly release schedules.
