Girls Aloud - Future Plans

I'd be here for new music, but at the same time if they came back with an album full of 2 minute jingles, I'd honestly rather them just not release anything. I'm so glad they came before the era of neglecting bridges and that most of their songs have a great structure. They have a plethora of great material that, well at least for me, never gets old.

However you never know, I mean All Saints came back a decade later and delivered some of their best material, Red Flag was such a triumph and I'd love for the girls to achieve the same.

I agree that ending on ‘Every Now and Then’ is absolutely perfect.

I’d hate for them to record new material and succumb to the new way tik tok style music that everybody seems to be doing these days, this is what scares me about Madonnas next album

The girls (well, their team at least) probably know that there's no need for that and that her core audience may undergo a 3:43-minute song with no problem.

It’s really not weird at all that artists don’t know all their own stuff. If they see it as a job then there’s parts of their job they don’t like and parts they do. While we might play a song every week for years, they’ve recorded and it and then never performed or listened to it again.

I don’t think it means they aren’t somehow passionate or appreciative of their career.

I assumed the sub-3 minute songs were attempts to skew spotify/streaming figures, and they're not likely to be setting the charts alight now anyway, so they might as well make longer songs.

I agree with both songs mention but also like to add that it was really “von Dutch” that made me go “Oh this is Girls Aloud in the 20s”.
