Yeah I've always known about this rule. Never understood where it came from though.

It's all legal guff. Basically if you say someone's a big gay they can sue you for libel/slander, whichever one of those is printed.
Oh yeah I get why the rule is in place, but why is it specifically on PJ. Never seen it anywhere else.

I think this could turn into one of those Off Topic conversations that are against the rules.

I went to see them at Birmingham NIA, thank fuck it wasn't the NEC because that is a complete bitch to get to if you don't have your own transport.

NEC is easier, it has its own train station.

True, but it depends where you're coming from really. I'd have to make several connections to get there and I really can't be arsed.

Re: General Girls Aloud discussion thread

I can't decide if I want to go to Newcastle or London. London's cheaper (as far as airfare) but Newcastle would be more fun, I think.

I also hope they announce the dates soon, before they put the tickets on sale, so I can figure out which date would be better to go to with school, that is, if I can enroll again.

And one last thing, about how much do you think these will cost?

The Newcastle crowds are brilliant, but I don't know about London as I've only ever seen them at Newcastle (and when they did my uni all those years ago).

Re: General Girls Aloud discussion thread

According to Jenny, the tickets are going on sale on Monday.

I better get my card activated as soon as it happens.

Re: General Girls Aloud discussion thread

I better get an email about it over the weekend, because Monday is a little short notice, especially with some people saving up for the album.

Re: General Girls Aloud discussion thread

So Katiekins you'll be able to make the trip overseas? GAH!! To be you.. Unless they decide to make a side trip to the Bay Area/LA I'm afraid I'm fucked. And I am absolutely horrified at the thought of never being able to see the Girls live.

Re: General Girls Aloud discussion thread

Shall we discuss the Girls being on Jo Whiley's Live Lounge?

My suggestions are:
Gimme More - Britney Spears
2 Hearts - Kylie

What does everyone think?

I think they might choose something a bit 'cooler', but nothing comes to mind. That said, they could do a wicked 'Gimme More'. I'm imagining the arrangement now, starting with Nicola...

I hope I'm able to. I'll definitely be buying tickets but the money situation is tight right now. I'll have to get a job as soon as school's out this semester and skip the spring semester to pay for it.

I really want them to do Gimme More. Isn't there a place to suggest songs for the Live Lounge?

I guess I'll be going on the 25th then. Could someone PM me/post the link to buy the tickets? I've signed up at the official ages ago but I only received one e-mail and it was a week late.

Re: General Girls Aloud discussion thread

Saturday 17th LONDON 02 ARENA - $1,945
Sunday 25th NEWCASTLE METRO RADIO ARENA - $2,073
Saturday 31st MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS ARENA - $2,172

The only dates I'm considering. God, I hate being cheap and broke. I'll probably go with London because I know a few other fans who are going to the London date.

Two thousand dollars?!

Edit: And all you Irish Tangled Up buyers in the album thread will be gutted - only one date in Belfast.

Yep. Those are the cheapest three. I may be forcing my friend to pay her airfare as well. She's not mooching over a thousand dollars off of me.
