Sexy! Is how I discovered Girls Aloud and I never looked back since. It seems to be a fan favorite otherwise to new listeners it sounds really chaotic and a bit scary with the "No No No" parts. At least that's how people I've played it for commented how that part throws them off.
Sexy! No No No is that song. The video, the styling, the attitude, the guitar sample. It is a song that only works as a Girls Aloud song.
I feel the same. It's been laying on my table for a couple of weeks now, but somehow I haven't touched it yet. This is the first instance where I was literally mourning a pop star and it affected me for weeks afterwards. You know, I think of reading Sarah's book on the flight back from London so often lately. Her book really, really affected me... I'd say much of it comes from knowing that she knew that it was a piece of her that she was leaving behind. Reading it and understanding that she was writing it with a sense of finality makes it touch on the heart so much more.
I still go back to Sarah's book now and then. It's heartbreaking to read, especially the end when there's a little glimmer of hope. I just hope she got to make wonderful memories in 2021 until her death in September.
What I still can't get my head around is I remember there was a death hoax regarding Sarah. There was even news articles on it. This must've been around March 2020 and I remember thinking how mean people are and what a bizarre story, so to think she actually did pass away only 18 months later is just crazy to me. Like, what are the chances?
