Girls Aloud

You mean in the Tangled Up era?
For sure. Their image skyrocketed from girl next door to styled women. I think it was also the era where each individual person in the band felt comfortable in their own appearance and had confidence. They were also at the top of their game off the back of the greatest hits and Something Kinda Oooh.
The Chemistry era was still tongue in cheek, with a bit of edge and the beginning of their maturity as a band. But Tangled Up was definitely the beginning of something massive for them.

Re. the budget increase, I'll never forget seeing Cheryl wearing a belt I really liked to the X Factor auditions in 2008, tracking it down so I could buy it assuming it was from somewhere affordable for me and my £40 birthday money as so much of their early outfits were, only to find it was by Fendi and cost about £2000. Ahh, memories.

Yep... the success of the Greatest Hits album and Something Kinda Ooooh definitely gave the record company cause to increase the budget for the Tangled Up era. Call The Shots then being massive just solidified their importance to the label going forward.

Loved how they stood up for themselves and decided no more covers after the Greatest Hits album also.

wanted to thank you again for the amazing experience we shared on this last tour and our subsequent pride show .. the memories will stay with me forever. It has been a true highlight in my life. To get to connect with you all again after so long , to be together and share the stage once more with the girls to celebrate Sarah was truly a blessing.
Not sure if some of this sounds quite final or just reflective. Gutted if this Cheryl's tweetlonger
