Got 2B Real (YouTube Show)

Nothing will ever top the point blank genius of Got 2B Real, though. I've been going back a lot since Maya Angelou's passing. The two part epic of "Peace is Hidden in the Heart of the Demon/Bitch Better Shut Her Mouth" is an oddly beautiful retrospective tribute.

I loved Maya's 'character.' She was one of the hidden gems of the cast. That poem is gold, as is her threatening to kill Rihanna for calling her Mama Odie.
So the new one is on YouTube. (I'm on my phone so can't link it)

I personally don't think it compares to the older stuff. Didn't really like the new inclusion thought it didn't really make sense with what they normally do. And they seriously glossed over the Aretha/Cissy stuff. There could be a whole episode about that, adding Cissy in and everything.

I did love Mariah's Ariana shade though. And "all your songs are adopted!" Killed me.
I'm only 3 minutes in and I'm already screaming at
"C.U.N.T. - constantly underestimating new talent"
"No-one is trying to be Mariah - that takes way too many Adobe programs"
"Nobody's trying to be Mariah. That takes too many Adobe programmes."
"You must search for the answer inside yourself....unless you have cash up-front."

When Mimi called Arianna...

Pepper Ann!

"I haven't seen drama like this since my father put some of Destiny's Children... in the orphanage."

Gets me every time.
First of all, no it is not. And secondly,

"Fanta? I don't drink no damn Fanta. They go flat too quick."

"Oh, you said Fantasia.........same thing."

"I just don't understand why you continue to be so supercilious."

"You mean to tell me, you don't remember snatching your hand away from me...? Like I was holding a celery stick...?"

I'm so happy that she decided to do another episode; this is one of my favorite web series of all time. Mariah had some class lines in particular. "Dionndre"

And in my opinion the only truly great thing about The Legends' Panel is Tina Turner's voice, which is completely spot-on. Everything else is pretty meh.

The new ep took a coupla minutes to get going but before I knew it I was laughing like crazy, as usual. I really hope Patti LaHelle continues to do the odd 'special' here and there, even if there'll never be another 'series.' It'd be a real shame for it to stop completely.
I don't think I'm either smart or quick enough to get all the shade in these episodes. Half of it just goes over my head and I find myself bored.
I started rewatching from the beginning, and am up to the second episode.

When Patti said "Doesn't mean I over sing", my iPhone lit up and said "Sorry I didn't get that". I think it thought she said "Hey Siri". Patti's impact.
