GOT7

I've watched Breath countless times now and love it. I like the fact that the group has been around so long that everyone has their roles regardless who writes the song. Main vocals: JB/Youngjae...lead vocals Yugyeom/Jinyoung...sub vocals/rap Jackson/BamBam/Mark. Of course they take liberties when a verse or lyric suits a member better.

Officially putting their album teaser here and their AAA performance (congrats to Jinyoung and the group on the AAA wins)

I hope the the teasers are just focusing on the members who wrote their respective tracks and these are not solos. On first listen REALLY IMPRESSED with Last Piece and I Mean It. I didn't expect the album to be so "romantic".

Last Piece is nice, but I actually liked Breath a bit more? I guess that would be an unpopular opinion here. Giving the album a listen now.

First listen through the album and I'm shocked at how sedate it is. Highlights are Breath/Last Piece/Waiting For You/1+1/I Mean It...Waves, sonically, is one of the weakest of Jinyoung's (I'm sure his writing is fine, need to read the translated lyrics). Thematically the album works i guess but doesn't compare to their latest (and greatest EP's)

Listening to it a second time and the ones for me are:

Breath
Last Piece
Born Ready
Thank You, Sorry
1+1

I feel like the production could've had more urgency all throughout, overall. On the bright side, it's gone No. 1 on iTunes and Last Piece is No. 3.

Shocked that Last Piece achieved this and not Breath? Good job Aghase! LAST PIECE is great though.. great throw back 80's/90's sound modernized for today. My BIGGEST gripe with the album? Not enough Jinyoung!! I had no idea that Jinyoung could do adlibs like he did on We Are Young. He really is an underrated singer.

Jinyoung's vocals on "Nobody sesang geu nugudo" in the pre-chorus are absolutely pop heaven.

I'm still in shock that BAMBAM created Waiting For You. So good! Glad there isn't sub-unit groups on this project and everyone is singing. Jackson sounds great actually singing in a couple of songs. Mark too.

Great news on the single and the album reaching no. 1 on iTunes. The real test is to see if they'll be able to chart on the BILLBOARD charts next week. I'm hoping that sales of the physical in the states will get them there on the album charts.

I'm still vibing with the album. For me, these guys always put out pretty solid work so I'm not disappointed by any stretch of the imagination. While I appreciate avoiding the basic suits for this comeback, the styling for some of the guys is throwing me off. I can't wait for a behind the scene's/Vlive video when JB takes off the back of that mullet because we all know good and damn well that's clipped on at the back. Dear KPOP, I love you, you bring me so much joy, but JB, Felix in Stray Kids, Yeonjun in Tomorrow x Together, stop with the mullets!

Above all else, I appreciate that each of them took the time to recognize that it was the fans and only the fans that got them to chart, the views (which are INSANELY low) all while dissing JYPE without having to say a word. The company really is trash (and I listen to both Stray Kids and Twice). Anybody who argues that GOT7 (and from what I hear Day6) get treated differently is lying to themselves.

This was so suave.

Stark contrast from their live performance. I think having live vocals threw them off a bit (also the camera work is shotty).

While Last Piece looks great live (although its obvious that the live vocals are pre-recorded).

Last Piece dance practice:
