Gwen Stefani - "Somebody Else’s” + Bouquet (Nov 15)

Can someone pls summarize which songs (already released and the newly leaked) were for LAMB and then included/intended for TSE and which tracks were newly recorded for TSE?

She was going to rework Carousel for the 2015 album right?
And I remember a track called Confection which later on passed onto Shakira but she also didn't release it. Reworked Candyland maybe?

Pretty much all the songs on the leaked disc were written/recorded for LAMB. Some of these are songs Gwen herself spoke about in interviews frequently before the album came out. "Fine By You" probably being the biggest example. But she also spoke about "Wonderful Life" as well. The latter was cut from LAMB and replaced by "Bubble Pop Electric" (?) because she felt it was too dark for the album.

Fine By You (2003)
Wonderful Life (2003)
Don't Wait Too Long (2003)
Sparkle (2003)
Boom (aka "Getting Off") (2004)
Information (2004)
Carousel (2004)
You Started It (2004)

The following were recorded in 2005 for what was intended to be a deluxe version of LAMB that they were planning to have out for Christmas that year. At the time Gwen had said she had about 7 outtakes she wanted to include, and I think she intended on only adding a couple new songs, but then after the sessions with Pharrell it morphed into a new album she called Candyland:

Wind It Up*
Orange County Girl*
Candyland*
Breakin' Up (the Candyland version featured Slim Thug)*
Fluorescent

*= from the Miami/Neptunes sessions

This project morphed once again into what we now know as The Sweet Escape after Gwen got pregnant and wrote additional songs, which led to basically all the LAMB era tracks getting cut except for three: "Sparkle", "Wonderful Life", and "You Started It". However, "Sparkle" and "Candyland" ended up getting the chop last minute, but they did show up in one of her vlogs at the time as being part of the tracklist for The Sweet Escape.

"Sparkle" got its third life after being reworked for No Doubt's Push and Shove album, and Gwen said she had reworked "Carousel" in 2014 to be included on her planned third album at the time, which obviously ended up scrapped.

All these leaks are different shades of amazing! Gwen is such a talented songwriter and vocalist. She shines in most of these tracks. The top ones for me are Dont wait too long, Information, Boom and Fine by you. What a woman!! what a creative mind she has for story telling and creating great melodies.

Nah, since that was always the original mix of the track before Gwen took it upon herself and added the sample later.

Right, didn't hear a difference (besides lower bitrate) but thought it might be less polished or something. But no need for both in my library then

I don’t recall any major changes in the “Wind It Up”, “Orange County Girl”, or “Breakin Up” files aside from rougher mixes. “Wonderful Life” had different/more synthesized production though so I kept that.

Yeah with all of those others I assumed 'it won't be part of a demos pack if it's the actual album version' (though I guess since they're from a promo disc they can be versions that made the album in the end?)
Wind It Up actually having an officially released 'demo' made it a bit more confusing

The Dallas Austin demos are fantastic! And I'm really enjoying Circle My Sun. It's a shame that whole album/era was scrapped/shelved. She kills me a little bit more every time she cancels a campaign.
