Found lots of it quite bland, but really enjoyed both Daylight and Little Freak. Keep Driving is cute too.
He’s so cringe but I be fuck if this isn’t decent overall. Also if he’s gonna feel his oats could he at least start wearing shit that looks good? The lewks are garbage.
This is absolutely toothless. It’s not bad but It’s just hard to feel anything towards the album. I expected some diet bops in the vein of “Golden” at least, if not another “Adore You”.
Toothless is a good word to describe the album. It feels more akin to his debut in its blandness and vague lyrical concepts. Late Night Talking sounds surprisingly demo-ish for something that is clearly supposed to be one of the big bops/hits. And then... a lot of mid-tempo murmurings about doing coke in the kitchen. Sing When You're Winning is unbothered.
I haven’t listened to this at all yet, but I must admit it is kind of amusing how his response to all his criticisms is to double down, make an album that lyrically says nothing, and sonically seems to be set on “I’m chillin~“
