Heartstopper (Renewed for 2 more seasons!)

The patreon restarts mid-March and Alice will be heavily watermarking the comics she does upload because people have leaked out the entirety of where the story is now.

She’s also adding an additional chapter now. It was to end with 8 but she’s extended it to 9 for the book.
Thanks for the info. I may have to sign up for her Patreon when she starts it up again.

I think she's in a different league now, the free comic days are over. She may release some bonus strips.
Is Book #5 supposed to be the last one ?
Yeah - I think you might be right! It doesn't make sense to do the free comic any more given how popular the series is now. The fifth one is supposed to be the last one.

I don't know what happened, but I can't find any embargo in that page.
April 27 releases are:
  • A Tourist’s Guide to Love (2023) Netflix Original – Rachael Leigh Cook and Scott Ly star in this romantic comedy.
  • Firefly Lane (Season 2 – Part 2) Netflix Original – The second half of the final season of the feel-good drama moved up from its original June release date.
  • The Nurse (Season 1) Netflix Original – Danish crime series based on a book.
In May there is the Bridgertone spinoff (May 4)...

The way he's morphing into Hulkling before our very eyes.
Something about Kit sort of makes me cringe - I just see someone who doesn't seem to know himself very well.

I mean he’s a teenager, of course they’re all figuring themselves out. Teenagers are kind of cringe as well, haha.

I did raise an eyebrow when they would describe him as being a bit separate from the cast. But it’s no good to speculate much.

he/him
There’s something so unsettling about the way Kit has been treated and sexualised since the show came out and the way it continues with people projecting their own desires/expectations about his queerness and appearance is just a bit depressing to see. Low-key dreading the second season and the inevitable grossness that will crop up on social media.

The comments on those posts alone. Awful.

There's been a real icky vibe with the way sexualising celebrities has gone in general as of late but when it's to actual teenagers it's even grosser

I think it's probably because he's one of the oldest cast members and has the most established film/TV career prior to the show so it's not all that new to him.

I watched Heartstopper and loved it but never read the comics. In the clips from these workout videos, Kit mentioned he was bulking because his character (Nick) is described as very big? Is that accurate?? If anything, the drawings I saw of Nick were the opposite (obviously still athlete but very much how he was in Season 1), so that took me by surprise.
