Releasing in October makes sense... gives Alice time to get the books finished and prepare the scripts.

Plus the season won't be as light (and supposedly features This Winter's story too) so I guess it does work with the time of year.

Oof! I definitely wasn't expecting this season to be released even later, but I suppose it makes sense if the season is taking place largely during the fall. Also, *if* a season 4 is happening, this kind of mitigates a potentially longer wait for that. Alice is still in the beginning stages of writing Volume 6, so it's going to be a while before she is ready to translate it into scripts for the show, and start filming.

To make things more interesting, she could do a series final season different from the final book.

I think a lot of is just scheduling and Netflix making sure they space out their big shows so we won't cancel our subscriptions.

Well it at least sounds like season 3 was written with the intend of them wanting a 4th, so that's good, I guess?
