I Won't - 6.45

I-Won-039-t.jpg
mainly voted so because of a co-writer? Hmmm.
I dislike Ms Glynne's music as much as anyone (and have made that very clear on this forum nn), but some of you tanking a song because she had the audacity to breathe in it's presence? Predictable.

He/Him
I mean, it sounds like it had Jess Glynne all over it and I despise her music hence my tanking.
See that's fine and completely understandable, it's the votes that tanked it purely because she has an association with the song, and not actually rating the song itself. I know it ain't that serious and I can't believe I'm half-standing up for Jess Glynne ddd but "it sounds like a Jess Glynne song" is an actual fair criticism, whereas "Jess Glynne was involved" isn't.

The Chorus I Won't is kind of cute, the verses are Jess Glynne nonsense though.

Speaking of that witch, why is Grown still in?

@DJHazey (7) - Harmless bop with fun lyrics, but ultimately lacking compared to their best bops. - sis why have you been calling for her head for like 10 tracks now if you gave her a 7????

Fact check yourself a bitsy. I 'called' for it after I was told DNA tracks are going and if you look at my scores I don't have very many low scores remaining from it if at all.

I Won't is nice for what it is. There are worse songs left, but I have no taste when it comes to Little Mix, so...

Love Me Or Leave Me - 6.56

Get Weird takes another hit and i'm pressed. Love Me or Leave Me is one of Little Mix's best tracks, period. This is their best ballad pre-LM5 (Monster in Me is that bitch) and the lyrics are so strong. I think they all sound absolutely amazing throughout the entire track, especially Jade on the bridge being followed by Leigh-Anne belting for her life in the final chorus. This track was really done dirty and honestly I wouldn't have been mad if this was a single. Let's see what you gherls said x

@Dijah. (9) - This is it. Their best ballad.

@Verandi (3) - An X Factor ballad. No.

@Babyface (7) – I often forget that this song exists. Listening to it again, it’s honestly one of their more impressive ballads vocally but there just isn’t much there to hold on to. It just doesn’t hit emotionally in the way that it should, but there aren’t any glaring faults.

@abael (6) - I'm happy they've included a more acoustic, raw ballad to really exhibit their skills. However, the song or the singers aren't strong enough for me to need this song in my life

@DJHazey (6) - I mean, I WANT to love ballads like this one (and I love You) but something is missing because barely anything ever hooks me about them. Give me those basics ones that are catchy as hell to my basic ears.

@HollyDunnSomething (8.5) - A cute ballad moment. Jade shines on the middle 8.

@Felp (6.8) - There are parts I love. Both pre choruses and the middle 8/bridge are amazing, but I can’t stand how exaggerated I find Perrie’s delivery of the chorus to be here.

@happiestgirl (4) - This song is generally where I stop playing the album. Everything after A.D.I.D.A.S. is quite insubstantial

@Laurence (8) - A sweet ballad. I like it a lot.

@motorbike (6) - This song needed a switch up in solo distribution.

@OspreyQueen (6.5) - This is sweet, but I always forget how it goes the second it ends

@Remorque (7) - This has the same understated production like I Love You, but while the verses are enjoyable here, the chorus is way too dramatic, Perrie and Jade (at least I think it’s her) basically oversinging it… Bless the latter for trying though. - The final chorus would be Miss Leigh-Anne trying to show the girls what she can do

@Sally_Harper (10) - I love this song in all its melodramatic glory. I ALSO love how Jesy sounds like a dying urchin from a Charles Dickens novel on her verse with all the croaky “wha’ ‘appened?” going on. Never change, Jesy!

@savilizabeths (10) - Another emotional as hell ballad from these girls. It’s so heartbreaking with such powerful lyrics, vocals and melodies. The “you’re turning away like you hate me, do you hate me?” always gets me because I’ve felt like that so many times in my life. What can I say besides this is gorgeous?

Weird People - 6.59

Lowest Score - 1 x 1 (@JMRGBY88 )

Staying with Get Weird and I feel like this song massively outstayed its welcome. It could've vacated 10 tracks ago and it would've been okay. This song for me really sums up exactly the vibe that Little Mix attempted for this album and it's not good. This song just feels really childish and it really grates on me after a while. I managed to score it a 4 because I don't hate the production but as a whole, this song is the kinda song that Little Mix seem to love but I hate. Moving on x

@MadameX (4) - This song is definitely for the Ella's.

@Dijah. (2) - I have never returned to this song after the first listen.

@JMRGBY88 (1) - Just embarrassing to listen to.

@Salami (6) - They were really going for that American sound weren’t they? It doesn’t work.

@GimmeWork (10) - I’m a sucker for this kind of 80’s production and honestly I know it’s the opposite of what’s trending right now but I wouldn’t mind an entire LM album of 80’s influenced jams. Their very own EMOTION moment. I may be the only one but I’d be here for it.

@Joe. (8) - Pretty much the only Get Weird album track I fuck with.

@Primrose (5.5) - A bit like if a group of 10 year olds wrote a song for Little Mix. It is fun though.

@Babyface (6) – I appreciate that they tried something a bit….different for themselves here and at least vocally they have the charisma to fit into this 80’s rock soundscape but building an entire song (and the title of your album!) around slang like ‘let’s get weird!’ is a choice.

@abael (6) - Well composed, but they're not really not selling it to me. I feel the Little Mix girls are too sheltered to have the same definition of weird as most people

@DJHazey (5) - Is this the theme song for some 80s sitcom or something. Definitely sounds like it was pulled from a late 80s/early 90s freestyle or new jack swing playlist. Not too exciting for me, sorry.

@HollyDunnSomething (7) - Not really a favourite but was quite fun live on the Get Weird tour.

@Felp (8.8) - Similarly to Stereo Soldier and A Different Beat, this is very musical-esque, but differently to those, it’s all so confessed that it’a great. You can just picture the foolishness being performed - just like they did on tour. Pure fun. Could’ve been a single.

@Music Is Life (10) - I love everything about this. The lyrics are great fun and relatable, without being too cheesy, the production bops so hard, and their vocals perfectly capture the feel of the song. I love the middle-8 to, it’s just so funny. Love this song. Oh and does anyone else think the “other suckers” line is probably supposed to be “mother fuckers”?

@Laurence (7) - 7 It's a funny track, I get why they named it after this. I love Jesy's verse again. But somehow it goes over so fast? I think it could be a bit stronger, but I don't get how though, perhaps the bridge. There's something about that hmm? Love the adlib around 2:06.

@motorbike (4) - There’s a good song hiding in there somewhere but I the lyrics don’t do it any favors. It’s fun but just not a song I ever come back to.
@OspreyQueen (7) - This follows the same pandering formula as Black Magic, but at least it tries a LITTLE to be quirky so it deserves a couple more points

@Remorque (8) - Such a funky song. I’m getting ‘Prince song written for Paula Abdul’ from this one, which can only be a good thing

@Sally_Harper (7) - Nothing spectacular but good fun!

@Subspace88 (9) - I have a feeling this’ll get dragged, but I like it. It’s on the right side of teeny bop without straying too far into that territory. Plus, obligatory bonus point for key change.
@savilizabeths (10) - I always accidentally sing this as ‘queer people’ instead of ‘weird people’ and hey, that perfectly encapsulates my experiences at every gay bar in my city. So I’ll stand by it

So gherls, as I said the other day, I'll be gone Monday and Tuesday because quite frankly, my man is home and I shall be getting as much dick as possible. So, I'll leave you a wee update on what we have left. We have 8 more tracks to go before we reach our Top 50 tracks. I'd like you to say which 8 tracks you'd like to leave next. Give me something to come back to, pls xx

Ok Weird People is a hell of a lot better than Grown. (The performance on Get Weird was lit)

I'd like to say bye to:

Grown, Told You So, Notice (even though I accidentally gave it a 9), Freak, I Love You.

I know that's not 8, but those are the first I can think of.
