Has J-Love been doing tv most of this time? I genuinely can't remember seeing her anything past Garfield or The Tuxedo (my s.o. is a Jackie Chan stan).

Yes, she's been everyone's favorite (at least my family's) emergency dispatcher on '9-1-1' for many seasons.

Usually each episode starts with a black screen and the audio of Jennifer saying "911, what's your emergency" and then cuts to a scene where some random citizen has got themselves in a life threatening situation from the start. Alot of very Final Destination type 'how did that happen' stuff actually except the 9-1-1 team can usually save them.

The 28 Years Later trailer got me hyped so I watched 28 Weeks Later last night. I didn’t remember much about it other than the opening scene, and enjoyed it a lot. The husband/wife arc is horrific and gives the movie the grit and bleakness of the first, definitely the best portion of this one. I also appreciated the scale they took this one to, it serves as a legitimate update to where the UK would be at that time, and seems realistic to what the military response to a re-emergence of the virus would be. The siblings are surprisingly not annoying, but I’m hoping Years doesn’t focus on children as much, the stakes always seem lowered when the plot revolves around them. Judging by the announced cast, it doesn’t seem like children will be a focal point.

Days remains the superior (and far scarier) movie, but Weeks is a solid follow-up that does a lot of heavy lifting for the world building aspect, excited to see where they take the next one, I have faith it will be a banger.

Watched Silent Night with Keira Knightley in it and I absolutely detested it. Cool idea for a movie, but how the director thought this group of characters was strong enough to spend an hour & a half with, while next to no action happens, is beyond me. The most I’ve disliked a movie in a while.

Yeah the whole family were not likeable at all and a predictable ending. The CGI was quite bad too.

Before 911, J-Love was also the lead on Ghost Whisperer which lasted 5 seasons from 2005-2010. I never saw it, but have heard it's pretty great in a "soapy", "so bad it's good" kinda way.... so.... exactly like 911 ddd.

One of Mama Hazey's all-time favorites. It was a little slow for me, but I've seen the whole show as well (when she re-watched it). Like a modern day Touched By An Angel.

I totally forgot about the Ghost Whisperer! It was (unfortunately) a sensation and I remember seeing DVD collections of it EVERYWHERE during the home video era.

It was a part of a conglomerate of terrible shows like that one Lifetime show where the lawyer is possessed by a skinny ghost?? I don't want to look into the name so I'm not haunted but literally a conceit of the show was the dead lady was skinny and the lawyer she possessed was not ddd. She had to deal with Struggles(tm) like having a Not Skinny boyfriend!!!

Okay but Drop Dead Diva was an absolute masterclass in trash TV. Margaret Cho as a snarky assistant? Paula Abdul alternating between playing herself and a judge? Brandy getting a multi-season recurring arc? Excellence.

Jennifer Love Hewitt gets paid a fortune on her TV shows. Ghost Whisperer was huge for her and even on 911 as a supporting role she gets $300k+ per episode.

She needs to come back, I hope they work it out. I know it’s not just scheduling ha.
