The bathroom scene from Final Cut

I don't think I even watched Bloody Mary, is it worth watching?

It has nothing to do with the others, bar the general UL theme and a Parka gag, but there's a lot worse out there. Pre-'fame' Kate Mara plays the lead and there's a funny hippie lady, but it's not one I've devoted much memory space to.

Thanks, will put it on my list and catch it if it's about!

When a film opens with it's most memorable scene... and they do kot give us a decent chase scene in the film. But it's not as horrendous as people made out at the time.

The main girl has a decent chase scene in after obtaining the surveillance VHS etc but I guess it doesn't feel memorable because there were no stakes (since she clearly was not going to be killed halfway thru).

Just watched Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey and damn, such a harrowing film.

Worth a watch but I do warn you, it's very upsetting as deals with r*pe and abduction.

I didn't realise it was based on a true event. Such a survivor that is Lisa McVey.

Watched both X and Pearl over the weekend. I think X is a more classic slasher film, with a lot of elements that make it more of a fun re-watch candidate, but Pearl is also great for what it does. Instead of a 70s exploitation slasher, Texas Chainsaw Massacre style, it goes for this 'golden age of film' aesthetic until the smaller tidbits of creepiness start to snowball slowly into complete bloodbath and rampage. Mia Goth deserved an Oscar or something big for her performance in both films, especially Pearl. That 5-minute monologue is art.

The trainer for Presence tugged a bit in the cinema just now...keeping an eye on this one

The early audience reviews I’ve seen don’t seem particularly favorable aside from the technical elements. Mainly that it doesn’t add up to much and is being mismarketed as a horror when it’s a family drama set in a haunted house. Disappointing because the trailers piqued my interest.
