Horror films

Word from SXSW is that Together and Clown in a Cornfield are the ones for horror and they got picked up are slated for August 1st and May 9th theatre releases respectively.

Willy’s Wonderland was one of the worst movies I’ve seen. Ugly, boring, and completely devoid of fun. I’m not sure how this got decent reviews (there must be a really large Nicholas Cage following who were chomping at the bit to see him beat up animatronics?) but this wasn’t for me.

Iconic casting! Based on the small info we got in the press release, this’ll take place when Jason is still a child?
Unfortunately yes, because they don’t have the rights to the Jason we know, the mask or “Friday the 13th”.

I love Linda Cardellini, but I’d rather a new Jason film, instead of a tv show about his Mum.

A prequel?

I assume the licensing issues with the franchise is why the show has completely changed course from what was originally planned for it. Still interested to see where they are going to take this, & it’s nice that the franchise is at least coming out of dormancy.

The Bryan Fuller version was going to cover the first 4 movies, I'm assuming over the first four seasons. Being completely honest, I can't say I'm excited about it now that i see Brad Kane has replaced Bryan Fuller. How do you go to such a big name to the voice of Aladdin who seems to have more limited credits? Maybe it's just me not being familiar with his work but I'll have to wait and see.

New Final Destination trailer dropped!

This looks fantastic! I love that we're getting a retro disaster sequence as well.

The Friday franchise is my favorite of all time I have zero interest in a TV series about Jason's mom sorry girls.
This. I have ‘Camp Crystal Lake’ tattooed on my arm in the classic Friday font - such is my love for this stupid series - and I know I’ll watch it all, but I am decidedly not perched based on what we know.

I usually despise prequels (minus Orphan: First Slay) but Mrs. Voorhees is more interesting to me then Jason thanks to Betsy's crazy ass performance. Linda is great casting. I think this show will be very Bates Motel yet hopefully without boring ass drug storylines.
