Horror films

Drop was a really good, fun popcorn movie which had me guessing (badly) throughout.

Although the ending was slightly far fetched.

her racing back to the house and the hitman timings just didn’t really work. She should have waited for the poison to set in. Or call the police on route or something.

Also the stab and gun wounds that no one died from. It was giving Scream 6.

Finally, how did he manage to get the dollar bill in the food?

The sister trolling her at the hospital was a major laugh out loud moment however.

Exactly like Red Eye.

Just need to suspend disbelief a little.

Drop was solid. A more stylish yet less well paced Red Eye B-movie. Meghann is a damn star, the main hunk was making me feral with that stach, the big ass text on screen was making me SCREAM in my theater full of three other people(is this flopping?!), the babysitter stuff was shockingly non-existent, the score was over the top and perfect.

Whoever told Mr. Landon he could top the opening credits of Final Destination 5....you did nothing of the sort.

Anyone seen Tumbbad?
I've popped it on, and half an hour in, I'm quite impressed...

Either way, sadly, Drop flopped.

I’d rather it did well at the box office than have a few people download it in a few weeks, contributing nothing.

I had so much fun watching Drop! Meghan is endlessly watchable and I felt the tension. It had me guessing and I enjoyed the light humor.

I also thoroughly enjoyed Drop, although we thought Brandon Sklenar really mumbled his lines at times. The high end restaurant setting was excellent and all the actors playing the restaurant staff were spot on.

The poor bartender though, getting literally knifed in the back, Christ. Wish we'd had a hospital update on her.

The way most the reviews at the time said the final act was where the film faltered and yet for me it's probably my favourite part of the movie.
This is why I don't trust reviewers. How could any other ending have been nearly as good as we got? 20 minutes of pure adrenaline and cunt.

I saw Drop yesterday, and while obviously not a Red Eye classic, I had great fun with it. Queen turning the tables on a twatty man is my favourite genre.
