Me too! Still haven't recovered from this revelation, they (were) such separate entities in my head!I was today years old when I learned Ann Lee and Whigfield are the same vocalist
I was about to ask 'Who?' but googled her instead. She covers classics I have loved forever - the odds are definitely against her for me!Ooh I forgot Kate Ryan would be in the 00s rate. She's definitely gonna be my highest rated artist.

I rarely like covers of songs I have grown loving if the main difference is a dance beat but we will see once the list is revealed! Her covers are iconic though. Desenchantée, Libertine, Voyage Voyage, Ella Elle L'a... wig
I actually knew her versions of Desenchantée and Libertine before I knew who Mylène Farmer was!
No mention of The Real McCoy/Olaf Jeglitza's guest feature in this Eurovision entry?
Toma mi gasolina.
Is Desenchantee a cover of the Mylene Farmer classic? If so- how could they???
Petition for @Filippa to run a rate for more of that snark - I!
That was kind of her "thing" -- she also clubbed up "Libertine"...
She had original material, but her biggest hits were the French remakes, like when she later "updated" France Gall...
...and Desireless...
...and Philippe Cataldo...
...and Jeanne Mas...
...and Lio...
...and Cock Robin...
...and France Gall again...
She really tried to break away from the French remakes, working with Tim Bergling before he became better known as Avicii and duetting with fellow Eurovision superstars Soraya and Charlotte Perrelli ... but at some point, she must have just said "screw it," looked up "Artists you may like if you listen to France Gall," and blessed us with a Françoise Hardy remake.
Anyway, I am VERY MUCH here for a @Filippa-run rate!!!
Good grief! LOL
Indeed! I see my concerns are confirmed! How quickly they forget...
Whigfield wasn't just rumoured to be Ann Lee, "she" was, I thought? Annerley Gordon (Ann Lee), of '2 Times' fame, even though her voice sounds completely different on that track, does the vocals on all of the Whigfield tracks, and Sannie (the woman who is the visual front of Whigfield) just lip syncs them.
e.g. compare these vocals to 'Whigfield':
To confuse matters, Sannie has her own separate career, where she actually sings on the songs (she's the barmaid in this video):
It appears Paradisio has attempted a number of comebacks over the years. They just get a different girl to wear the pink wig every now and then. That's actually so clever.
