My CLOSE YOUR EYES/BLUND CDs arrived yesterday, and it sounds like orders with vinyl are on their way too. Hope everyone else's arrive quickly and safely!

Track 9 wide open has started to appear on some services including Apple Music and YouTube Music. Spotify is lagging behind again. It's a new song, unsure what era it's from.

I was wondering where the next one was! AWAL/The Orchard isn’t the quickest at distributing last minute I’d say. This does sound quite Kin/Bounty-esque, but you never know with them! It’s hard to pin down anything unreleased to any specific era.

After a bit of a delay, wide open is now on Spotify.

They've also added track 3-9 to iamamiwhoami's YouTube channel this morning.

wide open is originally from 2016 - a quiet year between CONCERT IN BLUE and the release of SAMARITAN for EVERYONE AFRAID TO BE FORGOTTEN.

Avalanche would be nice, especially because it's such a sought after song (and the watercolour she showed on her Instagram stories the other day did make me think of snow...). I'm really not expecting her to share it though.

Final track nerves out midnight. Another previously unreleased song, written and produced by Jonna only. It's short and sounds demo-like, but it's an interesting listen.

That and acidic rainbows would be the two I'd cut if it meant making room for other things.

I don't like that performance of kill anyway, and although it's interesting to hear earlier versions of songs, I'm not sure I'll be returning to acidic rainbows much at all.

Overall I'm really happy with this collection of tracks though. We've had a good amount of unreleased songs, some fan requests fulfilled and while I think including new recordings might go against our expectations of what KRONOLOGI should be I love n again and think it's a highlight of this album and also her discography as a whole.

To be honest even if you take out kill and acidic rainbows, this is a pretty strong collection of unreleased songs + new versions. I kind of love how wintery everything sounds.

Also I feel like despite its less than ideal rollout, CLOSE YOUR EYES/BLUND has really grown on me. It’s probably her strongest solo album and “Forgive Her” in a particular highlight for me. It reminds me of Ray of Light and I would love to hear Jonna explore that kind of sound a bit more in the future.

I have a strong feeling there's not a lot in the vaults since their/her approach to music has always been this constant "record-release" in real time, and this is the second installment, so whatever gets released feels like a blessing at this point. Some of these were probably executed/created strictly to this project, closer to "reimagination" than really "opening the vaults."

I think she really enjoys the Mouth Of A River album, but will save the rest of these to fill the gaps on official albums, ddd.
