Is there any competition for the Christmas number 1?

I have some people here competing but does anyone know any more and does anyone think they will be any competition for the X factor.

White Christmas - Bing Crosby and Bryn Terfel
4'33" - John Cage (The track of silence)
Rage against the machine (again)
Shane MacGowan and the Priests - Little Drummer Boy
Alan Titchmarsh - ???

Anyone got any others?

It would be perfect if Mariah's 'Oh Santa' took the top spot.
God no!

If anything, we should campaign for all i want for christmas

Or

1. Oh Santa!
2. All I Want For Christmas Is You
3. X Factor song

Well to be honest I set this link up to promote my own campaign

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=151351588222179

But i would like to be kept in this thread because i do want to know the other competition. Also i'm putting up Christmas links evry day and any links i really like I'll put on the facebook page

And where do i listen to this Mariah track perchance.

Also I want new Christmas songs.
I do love "All i want for Christmas" but lets have another one, please.

Why don't we just let people buy what they want to buy instead of these bullshit campaigns? They will be absolutely horrific this year. The whole ideal of the campaign is crap though. 'Oh, let's buy a song because we're told to, to prove that we don't have to buy a song because we're told to!'

Some group is trying to get "The Bird Is The Word" to #1- I think they have more fans on Facebook than The Silence does.

I quite like the 'Cage against the Machine' campaign. It would be dreadfully funny if the Christmas chart show had to play 4'33" of silence.

they'd probably talk over the intro and outro leaving about 10 seconds of silence inbetween.

There is and it's a fucking pathetic campaign. Getting a trash men song to xmas #1.
OK we get it, you did it with RATM now fuck off!

What pisses me off about these campaigns are that they are just following the sheep mentality of those they claim to 'thwart'. Buying something just for the sake of it keeping another song off the top spot is completely idiotic. Listen to ALL the relevant songs you like that week and buy the one YOU want you moron.

Yes. That was the one thing which annoyed me the most about the Rage campaign (aside from the fact that it was being done by the kind of people I hate) was that they were all about non-conformity but were then conforming to a Facebook group and doing what they were told... just buy whatever you want.
