Perfect Lover is track 11 on Britney's fifth album Blackout. It was written by Floyd Hills (Danja), James Washington (Beanz), Keri Hilson and Marcella Araica, and produced by Danja and Beanz.

My thoughts: This is okay, but doesn't stand out at all. And honestly I struggle to remember how it goes when I'm not listening to it. The vocals are smooth, I enjoy that, but the rest of it feels like quite a generic take on the sound that the album is made up of. Also, this is definitely not better than Freakshow or Hot As Ice!
@boombazookajoe (8) I know this was Danja, but this is giving me Timbaland production vibes. (Which, we know he wasn't working with Britney ddddd.)

@blaze_dave (8) I hated this track when I first listened to this album, which is odd but think it's the flow of the track that I wasn't feeling. Obviously I have grown to like it.

@Kaz D'Oerba (9.9) This just so fucking hypnotic. I love it so, so much.

@livefrommelbs (9) This is for the Timbaland stans, this one! Underrated in all its late-00s glory.

@stereosalt (10) My favorite off of Blackout! Really???

@AstronautMikeDexter (9) This song wasn’t immediate for me. I want to say that it took me a few years to really appreciate how excellent it is. Her vocals on it are so so good.

@M24 (6) One of my least favorites from the album. It's pretty good but I feel like other songs already do this better. I think I have the same problem with it.

@Attis (10) Relentless banger, love the bridge

@Guyhawke! (7.5) ‘Perfect Lover’ suffers from arriving towards the end of the album. Everything on this song has been done better earlier in the tracklist, right down to the breathless panting in the chorus. I also can’t hear her sing ‘tick tock’ without post-‘Confessions’ Madonna coming to mind. My least favourite song on ‘Blackout’. Yep, tick tock took me straight to Madonna as well.

@Milotic (9.5) Really love the instrumental at the end.

@Runawaywithme (10) The waterfall of synths in the background of this alongside Britney's deep breathy register do things to me.

Can we all leave Me Against The Music alone! It's been one of my favorites since it came out. I don't understand the hatred. On Christmas of all days!!

I like Ooh Ooh Baby but I do think it's the weakest on Blackout and should've gone before any of the others. Perfect Lover is fun but it isn't a standout of Blackout either. I think it kind of just feels like someone added all the songs and took the average. I would never skip it while listening to the album or anything, but it isn't something I'd seek out as a standalone.

If any Blackout song needs to go, it's 'Get Naked (sorry 'bout it)'

Baby I'm a freak and I don't really give a damn
I'm crazy as a motherfucker, bet that on your man

I'm not ashamed of my beauty, you can see what I got
Shit might freak ya out, 'magine if I work ya out
If I get on top, you're gonna lose your mind
The way I put it down on you, you know should be a crime

Says differently.

Ooh Ooh Baby is track 10 on Britney's fifth album, Blackout. It was written by Britney, Kara DioGuardi, "Fredwreck" Farid Nasser and Eric Coomes. It was produced by DioGuardi and Nasser. According to Wikipedia, the song features samples from Gary Glitter's "Rock and Roll", and The Turtles' "Happy Together".

My thoughts: I think I accidentally overscored this. She's a cute girl but closer to a 7 than an 8 I reckon. Having said that when I was relistening while writing this I did bop fairly substantially so perhaps the 8 was deserved. I like the bouncy production on this and there's something really catchy about the melody in both the chorus and the verses.
@boombazookajoe (9) Another solid as hell B-Side on this album. You feelin' me up, you feelin' me up, you feelin' me YUP! I thought it was "You're filling me up with your love"...

@blaze_dave (8.5) That guitar intro is so good leading into the song and then coming back to the bridge. The use of baby on towards the end of the song is an interesting move.

@Kaz D'Oerba (10) I can’t believe I used to dislike this! It’s one of my favourites from her entire discography now.

@livefrommelbs (9) I've always dug the rolling, rollicking energy of this one. And the cheeky lil chuckle that kicks it off, of course.

@chrisjche (9.5) Those ‘baby baby baby baby BABAYYY” lines are amazing.

@daninternational (8.5) a slower version of womaniser with spanish guitars? it's everything I needed yet never asked for Maybe Womanizer is a sped up version of this, seeing as it came first...?

@M24 (7) This one is actually quite catchy! Among the standouts of the second half of the album for me.

@Guyhawke! (9) One reviewer compared the melody of ‘Ooh Ooh Baby’ to the Turtles’ ‘Happy Together’ and I can kind of hear it. The best part is where she takes the word ‘baby’, the most cliched lyrical trope of pop music and one intrinsically connected to her, and just repeats it ad nauseum 26 times. Talk about sticking your middle finger up.

@Milotic (10) Like Britney, I too love men. So, naturally, I gravitate towards this song. Must be why I'm not fussed about this song, I could take or leave men teebs.

@lilylu (8) This song is good, but to me it was always the blandest on the album.
