I used to find Perfect Lover incredibly weak, a glaring dip in quality on Blackout, but have really grown to love it. It should have still be the second track from the album out (after Sad), but it is excellent.

Ooh Ooh Baby is great, but definitely benefited from being a Blackout album track. If it was on Circus it would have been out ages ago.

Do Somethin' is a single and one of 3 new songs included on Britney's first greatest hits album, Greatest Hits: My Prerogative. The track was written and produced by Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg (Bloodshy & Avant) with additional writing by Henrik Jonback and Angela Hunte. The single was not physically released in the US but still made the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at 100th place thanks to digital downloads. The song did well worldwide, reaching the top 10 in a number of countries including Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, Hungary, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Although not originally intended to be a single, it was released as one after Britney pushed to record a music video for the track. The video, which was co-directed by Britney and Billie Woodruff, was choreographed and styled entirely by Britney and recorded in just 5 hours. The original video was subject to a lawsuit in 2007 from Louis Vuitton due to a close up of their logo on the dashboard of truck in the video. Louis Vuitton won the lawsuit and were awarded 80,000 euros. The video was subsequently banned in all European countries, before an edited version was re-released in 2015.

My thoughts: It's sort of fun I guess? I've always had very middling feelings towards it but I can bop if I'm in the right mood when it comes on. It definitely feels more 3rd single B-side/10th track on an album, as opposed to a single from a greatest hits album.
@clowezra (10) Embarrassingly I didn't get this at all when it came out, and it's bizarrely only really clicked in the last year? Gagged.

@boombazookajoe (6.5) MichelleVisage-Meh.gif This.

@blaze_dave (10) Nothing better than Britney channeling Gwen Stefani, this song is just so much fun. Love the sassy vocals and the music video works so well with it.

@Kaz D'Oerba (9.5) This song is poppers o’clock and I love it.

@unnameable (8) Brit, it’s the 21st century, the woman is allowed to make the first move.

@livefrommelbs (10) Fun fact: This one goes down really well with the straights. Must be why I'm not fussed about it.

@daninternational (7.5) One of the better examples of her weaker singles

@M24 (6) I always forget how much it bops. That chorus is pretty strong.

@Attis (1) Get The Party Started redux Really? I don't hear that at all.

@Guyhawke! (9.5) Bloodshy & Avant bring the goods again for this buzzing electropop number that ironically serves more attitude than ‘My Prerogative’. The wheels started to fall off the Britney machine when this video came out; the outfits and that nauseating Windows Media Player rotating colour filter was a step down from the hyper-styled visuals of past singles. Luckily the song is a bop and I appreciate that Britney stans it despite only being a hit in Europe and Australia.
