Let's go back to the early days...
This one actually follows an interesting pattern...
145th Place
Girl in the Mirror
(from Oops!... I Did It Again)
Average: 5.582
High Scorers: 10 x 2 (@unnameable, @WhenTheSunGoesDown)
Low Scorer: 0 x 1 (@stereosalt)
My Score: 6.5
Girl in the Mirror appears as track 12 on the deluxe version of the Oops!... I Did It Again album. Written by Jörgen Elofsson and produced by Per Magnusson and David Kreuger. It also appeared on a McDonald's exclusive CD called *NSYNC and Britney Spears: Your #1 Requests...And More!, which is difficult to get, not everybody has that.
Fun fact, the eliminations from the Oops! album have all followed a pattern so far. We've lost tracks 15, 14, 13 and 12, in that exact order! Makes you wonder if When Your Eyes Say It will be the next one out...
My thoughts: The opening of this is VERY Eternal Flame by The Bangles. It's a cute song, but I don't really get why people act as if Britney being the girl in the mirror is some kind of revelation. It's... a mirror, of course she's singing about herself ddd.
@Sprockrooster (7) I am screaming at those cheesy lyrics, but at the same time feeling it. Scream, me too! This one actually follows an interesting pattern...

@JMRGBY (7) I did not see that twist coming. The girl in the mirror…is her? It’s more likely than you think.
@boombazookajoe (3) A bad song and I hate the way she pronounced "Mirror." Should have stayed on the cutting room floor.
@blaze_dave (6.5) A nice ballad, but still can't at that middle 8 reveal. Like who else would have been in the mirror besides herself? It always makes me cringe. Exactly what I'm saying.
@Rantaro (5.25) It’s fine, I suppose. I was shook when the girl in the mirror was her.
@unnameable (10) I have a love for old Britney ballads
@livefrommelbs (6.5) An average song elevated a point or two by Britney's delivery.
@cdd216 (5.5) Atomic Kitten teas. Jennifer Frost would never.
@daninternational (3) why so many ballads with cliche names on this album
@M24 (5) This and Lucky make me wonder if there was some kind of thematic input for the writing teams involved with this album. It's so ironic that she was handed all these sad and lonely ballads. It's nothing short of beautiful though.
@Filler (4) All 4 points for the sheer camp of "that girl in the mirror... IS MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". What a plot twist. M Night who?
@Guyhawke! (5.5) This gets an extra half point for me because of the dramatic reveal of who the girl in the mirror is (spoiler: it’s meeeeeeeeee).
@Milotic (7.5) Why wasn't this on the album??? It's better than the other ballads.. Oh here's the tea.gif
@BreatheBox (6.7) CHEESE but YEEESE
@WhenTheSunGoesDown (10) Absolutely iconic. The epiphany in the chorus! All other bonus tracks found dead in a ditch. She deserved her moment on the regular album to be fair.
