It's Gonna Be a Hot Rate : Monrose Discography Rate (Winner revealed!)

I would have never forgiven myself for missing this, thank GAWD I saw this. Finishing my votes tonight.

Edit: Submitted. Man this reminded me how much I loved them. Wish I had included them on my Ultimate Popstar list (I did back in the first one).

Okay so I updated the leaderboard.

The top 3 (more specifically, the #1) isn't THAT shocking, but I'm still a tad surprised at the two other tracks that managed to get themselves into the top 3. By saying this, I mean that I've always pictured them in the top 10, but definitely more towards the bottom... Not that I mind, though!

Strictly Physical is such a triumph of an album. Leading Me On, Burning, the singles, and Just Like That are phenomenal and then you have the fucking B-SIDE Say Yes destroying careers.

I adore I Am to pieces, but I finally accepted SP as my ultimate Monrose album.

'Strictly Physical' has always been the clear winner for me, in terms of album. It's really a great, cohesive, piece of work. What's harder for me is to choose between 'I AM' and 'Ladylike' for their 2nd best album as I think both are still quite flawed despite some really good strenghts for both of them.

At the end of the rate, I'll try to provide the "general" averages for each album as well. I think that could be interesting.

Strictly Physical is a complete revelation. I don't think there's a single song below an 8 (yes, this includes Golden). There looks to be at least four 10s. I'll firm up my scores and add commentary tomorrow, then post the average. @Vixen, I'll never be able to thank you enough for running this!

I'm so glad you enjoyed the album! And I can't wait until you listen to the other two albums as well.

Monrose were really a great girlgroup, so I'm glad to be able to make people discover them for the first time.

Amazing taste. That said, Sooner or Later is a bit of a dud for me. Not super crazy about Everybody Makes Mistake either. The rest is amazing (I wish Scream and Say Yes made the album over those two, then it would truly be a flawless album).

And I didn't participate last time, but included them in my list. They are out already, as I was the only voter, which surprised me.

I'm listening to Ladylike now, and I don't really like it that much. I can't see it reaching the 7.80 (or thereabouts) average Strictly Physical got.

Right now I'm torn between Dangerous, Hot Summer and Just Like That for my 11.

I love the chorus for Dangerous but the stuttering? No.
It was meant to sound like Fergie's "Glamorous" I believe, which might have happened to be a decent hit in Germany, explaining why?

It happens. Hopefully you find yourself enjoying the other albums a bit more. (Although, I doubt 'Temptation' will do anything for you either!)

Go with your heart for the 11.

*takes out old iPod* Now I do!

I'm not as far along as you are, clearly... let me get to work!
Yes, put your boots on, baby, get to work, work.

Submitted.

Definitely one of the best pop groups ever, such a shame they were so underrated and never achieved world domination (along with Girls Aloud and The Saturdays).

Thanks Vixen for doing this! Very thrilled to see the Top Ten!

Received your votes @Macanudo and added them to the leaderboard. Thank you for participating!

The #1 remains the same but the top 3 has changed. This is all rather interesting and exciting. I can't wait to reveal the results.

It bugs me that two of their best tracks (Dangerous & Tip Toe) were lined up as the 4th singles from Strictly Physical and I Am but both got pulled.

Tip Toe is amazing, absolutely single worthy.

I'd have gone with Leading Me On, Burning, Just Like That, or a rerelease with Say Yes before choosing Dangerous though.
