Yeah, I think at this stage it's pretty obvious the album has been delayed yet again from whatever potential release date they were half-heartedly promising. Apparently she's been ignoring any comments about it on her discord too oop.

Not to give everyone Brits PTSD but if this is a televised slot they might be waiting for Glastonbury to announce it. There's generally a good amount of coverage that comes from it in the week afterwards, and the BBC are really good at getting content up and streaming live.

Sorry I didn’t catch the name of it but I just saw Jade in an advert on itv for a new documentary which looked like kids interviewing celebrities. David Tennant was also featured.
I assume the label were banking on that Spotify support for FUFN turning into more of a hit (I'd say it's done pretty well regardless of that thanks to Apple playing ball and decent radio play.) that it seems like they'll never get. I think they probably had a release date ready to go but it's been pushed again. "Waiting for another hit" album campaigns are honestly the worst.

RCA aren’t that competent. My best guess is they’ve panicked at the underperformance of FUFN, despite doing very little promo or leg work for it, so they’ve sent Jade back into cook some more for the foreseeable.

I feel bad for her. She was talking so confidently about the album release it seemed it was locked in regardless of the success of FUFN. Maybe RCA pulled the rug from underneath her, maybe girlie was just manifesting and it failed but something is off considering there is still no album announcement and she’s now talking about having more “songs” out before her Glastonbury appearance.
If RCA won’t commit to an album release she might as well just keep the released songs as standalones and drop the best tracks from the album as an EP and move on to new material.

I don’t think she gets to make these decisions unfortunately.
2 weeks ago, she was approving the booklet, it has to still be coming this year. How do you go from approving the booklet, visuals and packaging to nothing in a fortnight?

I know FUFN isn’t exactly lighting the charts on fire, but if the 5th song from an album campaign peaking at #25 and staying (at least) 5 weeks on the charts isn’t seen as good enough by the label I have some bad news for them about how future releases are likely to perform the longer they drag things out.
