  1. WTF I didn't know King Blake is back. The last album got me thru everything. I love love loveddd Assume Form. Can't wait for this.

  2. I look forward to the day of the album release so that I can listen to all the songs in the order they are supposed to be.
  3. I’m still so in love with Say What You Will.

HIS VOKALSSSS. I can’t wait for the album.

    Can someone rename the thread?
  4. Life is Not the Same is pretty boring. Slightly surprised this album is out in 8 days with zero hype.
  5. I love him but I’m a bit fatigued as I really enjoyed his 2 EPs and singles last year. Don’t feel ready.

I’m sure I’ll overplay the album once it’s out.
  6. Yeah, Assume Form was my favorite album of 2019 but I find it difficult to get excited about this new one based on what we've heard from it so far. But I don't doubt his ability to surprise me.
  7. This is the most recent update on the album release date:

  8. I hate this!
  9. The absolute lack of buzz for this is quite something.
Diet Pop!, Euphoria, godspeed and 2 others like this.
  10. Absolutely no one cares ddd. I think it's too soon coming after two EPs last year. Plus the singles were... there, at best.
  11. Yeah, the singles were okay but not that good. I loved every album so far but I‘m not sure how I will like this one… we‘ll see tomorrow.
  12. I think his association with J*meela kind of kills the mood for hipsters, when they remember his new songs are about her...
It's also a case of diminishing returns where everybody's now doing what he's been doing so his sound becomes less unique. I honestly just want instrumental ravey James Blake back, Voyeur is always the one highlight I look forward to in his sets. A full-on singer-songwriter blue-eyed-soul album would also be a welcome detour. His most popular tracks are all covers anyway ddddd.
  13. Dddd the accuracy.

I have really loved all the pre-release songs though so I’m excited to dive into this.

  15. This really isn't it for me, it's just the overall mood and quality of the songs.

The album however is way better than expected.
  16. I’ve listened twice, I liked the singles and the last track is beautiful.

I was so disappointed with Assume Form at first but it grew on me massively. I’m sure this will do the same.

I always struggle enjoying his features though. They are always a major distraction for me.
