RhythmNative: AND SO YOU SHOULD.
(What I meant by my comment by the way was that I was supposed to do, like, work last night and I did this instead. My bank account was not amused, but I was.)

Vasilios: FlopEra is obviously a new Celine Dion album title...

What's everyones favourite Janet hair-do?
The Electrocuted frizz look from the "Control"-era, the superfake La Toya-wig from Pleasure Principle-Miss You Much-Escapade, the curly hazel do from janet., the red harlequin thingy from Velvet Rope or the straight version of the same do, or the really expensive boring weave she started to wear from "All For You" onwards and kept it until she stole the wig from Disney's "Lady and the Tramp".

I really liked her weirdass black dreads in the "You Want This" video.

Tough one but I would go for the "Together Again" remix video hair, I think its the same as in the "I Get Lonley" video? Red hair looks great on her.

FlopEra should be pronounced like Cholera.

"Make Me" is very classic Janet-style, I don't know why there is a lack of melody, it's not like most singles from her first three albums were so heavy on that. It's got a strong beat, catchy samples and her trademark rapidfire whisper vocal style.

They should have done a crazy and just went with Feedback or Rock in Make Me's place. Why not?

So what do we think of Janet on X-Factor? Will Make Me chart in the top 10 next Sunday?

I didn't like what she had on, LOVE the hair & she looked good but I would've preferred a proper medley & not just "All For You" badly mixed into "Make Me"

I guess she had to leave straight away as she got no interview.

yeah she's went straight off to Jingle Ball, great exposure for her though x

Re: Janet Jackson - "Number Ones". The hits collection feat. the single "Make Me

I think she done really well... the dancing was good and she was very enthusiastic which was quite contagious. Also, most importantly, she didn't seem "old" or "past it" next to Lady Gaga which is very important. Janet's thing is still valid! I know we know this, but hopefully it will remind everyone else.

Yes, a proper medley would have been better but I am really glad she done All For You and not one of the 80s tracks.

Janet is performing at the Jingle Ball? Or just attending? If she is performing I am going to suicide right now for not going.

I guess she did All For You because that was her last big hit here. Did anyone else notice Brian Friedman (I'm sure it was him) in her dance troop? that was cool.

I agree with you though, she didn't look past it & still has it, it never left her (oh I've come over all Mel B from Bo Selecta now HAHA) but next to Ladyman GaGa she showed she can still take on the newbies & not come across as old fashioned.

Hope this gives Make Me a good kick up the charts.

Re: Janet Jackson - "Number Ones". The hits collection feat. the single "Make Me

Yes, I think it was the "not coming across old-fashioned" that was the most important. It really seemed fresh still. Although, maybe a different outfit would have been nice. I loved her cackle laugh when she went to the side of the stage.

Maybe she sees it like this "I toured America last year... this year i do Europe." I don't think I will be capable of dealing with the stress of getting Janet tickets.

I swear, ever since the Rock Wit U tour was announced I had the most extravagant dreams about seeing her live every night and they have started again!

Id love her to do a proper tour & actually stop over in the UK this time.

Still annoyed I got front tickets for the All For You tour, seats could not of been better & the cow cancelled because of 911 & has never been back here since.

She MUST tour this album, I might not get such good seats this time if she does, but I can finally go to one.

Re: Janet Jackson - "Number Ones". The hits collection feat. the single "Make Me

There were shots of Dermot and Janet together on the stage, such as when she was beckoned off stage and she did the little run... so I don't see why she couldn't have just said thank you, and plugged her Best CD, etc.

Dan Wootton said on Twitter that it was recorded last night.

Still not sure though, but Dermot could've said something to her, so she could just plug the single & album.

After the negative comments in the X Factor topic I was expecting somethin Trainwreckalicious, but this was a solid and very good performance. Loved her little shoutouts "Lemme hear you! X-FACTOR!!! Come ON!! Wooh! Yeah!", plus we shouldn't forget that this is the first TV performance Janet did in Europe since she performed "All For You" on "Top of the Pop" back in early 2001.
