It was a Pepsi song.Wait, what a nice song! It’s like the song that birthed FKA Twigs & Kelela. Shame it didn’t make it onto the Velvet Rope reissue.
Bopping to this today.
It had a video in the form of a commercial. Rene, I think, has a writing credit on it.This should have been a proper single release with a video.
I think it could have been a big UK/EU hit for her at the time of release, fits the 1998-1999 sounds very well.
Feels like a backhanded complementThey're doing it year by year retroactively.
90s flash in the pans like TLC
What the fuck did I just read.then various 90s flash in the pans like TLC, Alanis etc…..
Many such cases!80s bias
Not being at the same level of Madonna and Michael doesn't mean someone is a flash in the pan. TLC and Alanis defined the 90s. TLC have sold 65 million albums. There are tiers to this. Not being at the level of MJ and Madonna would make 99.9% of acts a "flash in the pan".I’m bemused by this drama. i know they were much bigger in the US which is what the rankings are based on but I’ve just reminded myself of their UK discographies. C’mon, they really don’t compare to MJ, Janet, Madonna, Prince, George Michael, Whitney. This can’t just be my 80s bias surely?
