Jennifer Lopez - This Is Me… Now

Love?
AKA
J.Lo
Brave
This is Me…Now
On the 6 // This is Me…Then
Rebirth

What a run, she should have released an album around 2018-19, then she had Marry Me in 2022 and TIMN in early 2023.

I’m actually excited for what’s next for her, she needs a good producer, a killer first single and announce the GH tour right from the start.

Went into the year being as J.Lo cynical as the best of them, and while some of the critique was valid for sure, I leave with a lot of admiration for her.

She’s gone through a hell of a lot this year and she’s leaving with, on the surface at least, such an excellent attitude. It’s that attitude that will secure her future success (and it’s easy to forget she’s been a box office smash this year).

I'm still bummed about the tour cancellation, but gotta love JLo for her tenacity. She really is thee multi-hyphenate. I didn't even realize she shot Kiss of the Spider Woman this year, which seemingly has the potential to be her most notable prestige project since Hustlers.

Might be why she seems so... unstoppable lately. Next year could shape up to be a big year for her...

Bill Condon’s ‘KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN’ starring Jennifer Lopez, Diego Luna and Tonatiuh will have its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.

Not a bad start of the year, I have yet to see Unstoppable and she had some early buzz but I guess the Ben drama and the fact that it’s produced by Ben and Matt means that they won’t be investing time or money for JLo’s campaign, at least it got a Prime release and will keep her name floating around.

I understand what you're saying, but her winning awards for their movie can benefit them too. If they care enough.

Double post - but she’s taking it!

Edit: Reviews for the film seem to be ranging from average to great, but she’s getting raves!

Why is this releasing during peak Oscar season? Seems like a misstep, no?
It's quite normal for films to premiere at Sundance, find a distributor, then enter play for the following awards season. CODA did exactly this, was picked up by Apple at Sundance, and won Best Picture, Screenplay and Supporting Actor at the Oscars a year later. If anything, it kinda helps that Oscars are on the mind when the films are premiering!

It's actually very clever. She's already established herself as the front-runner by being first out the gate. Anything could happen of course, and you wouldn't catch me placing any bets on anything, but as of this exact moment, 48 hours into her Oscar campaign, things are going well!
