I think the song that still gives me shivers is Mama Knows Best, like sinister shivers though. It’s that thing she does at the beginning with her voice, that vocal run or whatever that is - it’s enough to make your eyes bleed. I think that song is her magnum opus of evil.
My brain is fried. I think I genuinely may have read your post a month ago and listened to Domino, then forgot that I read it here first. Everyone knows her voice is technically amazing. The I Will Always Love You performance etc etc. However, unlike other stars with these big voices she does not demonstrate it. Her power is undeniable but her tone is more suited to belting out one big note. She isn't deep sounding enough to get away with scatting. In addition, her lyrics have been so cringey over the years and her mannerisms a irritating. She is also not humble. These things add up. What she needed from the beggining was tough love.
