I was there and after seeing one of her Ally Pally shows, I have to admit that - unsurprisingly - the reception in Montreux was a bit, well, Swiss, but I think both the songs and her personality gradually got the crowd into the set. Also, she skipped Lift You Up and performed a pared-back version of The Kill, so we won.

I was watching and thinking "this crowd..." hahaha, but at the end, Jessie got them jumping and I love her for that! Her show is too good/funky to be dead (???)

Just saw mother for the 9th time tonight and she was INCREDIBLE. Probably one of my favorite shows of her, she was having so much and she SANG ok. The audience had a blast, and I think that made her really happy. She oozes confidence now.

The fact we have no video for "Life You Up" makes me think this is really just something cute for the Summer. "Ride My Love", on the other hand, sounds freaking incredible. I think she will come back swinging for the new album campaign when they are ready, my guess is something in the Fall for a Spring release.

Yeah her summer festival shows finish in September, so a fall kickoff would be great. Fingers crossed we don’t have another 9 month wait between the first song and the record again.

Her landing the album in a quiet Q1 week and finally scoring that #1 would be popjustice!

I'd say there's more than the Morricone sample in there. The actual backing track sounds remarkably similar to something I've heard before, circa 1990'ish? That bassline is soo familiar, unfortunately I can't remember exactly what it is. Sounding great though and already better than half of That Feels Good, thankfully.

He’s a dance producer who’s worked with Shygirl, Mura Masa etc. Also part of Shy Luv, although I know they’ve not done anything in a while.
