I dislike it too, I literally never said that I like it. I'm not choosing to spend my time being as negative as you are on this forum.

Oh you have depression too, so you spend your free time attacking strangers online for not doing exactly what you think is right? That's really negative. Also if you actually have depression then why are you being so nasty to strangers online?
I didn't say you like it. But you don't really care that much because you are labeling my anger toward those things as "negativity" or "trying to change the world." It's like if someone was like, "Yeah, that racist person just called that black person the N word" and another person responded, "You're just so negative." That's what's creepy.

Yeah, having depression does not mean you have to be nice to everyone. And it also doesn't mean you have to be nice to everyone who has depression. Sometimes people with depression have shitty opinions that need to be called out.

I'm not stanning. You're literally making things up at this point.
I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about the guy who felt the need to tell everyone he's excited for the album. To me, somebody who is looking forward to a body of work by somebody who exploits and monetizes blackness and says "fuck you" to a flesh and blood black person who has a problem with it does not have their head on straight. I feel people who post those kind of things are looking for a reaction and I proudly gave it to him.

It's just the same as if someone knew about all the Kim Petras shit and is like, "I can't wait to bop to the album" (or "project"). It's just fucking weird.

One of the problems is that some people think that can just separate pop music and politics/ethics/morals and that will simply never be the case. It is myth that pop is escapism. It is a direct reflection of our society.

The escapism is the forum.

I don’t actually mind it, does it make sense though in terms of her image and sound? No.

Whoever mastered it, did her dirty with her vocals and breaths. It’s all I could focus on was her taking a breath every line they normal cut them or minimise them so they are really quiet. It was just waaaaay too distracting to me!

This is a thread talking about a woman who has dressed herself up in modern blackface. There's so escape from that no matter how much you want to just ignore it and talk about the bopz. If you want a safe space, a forum centered around one of the most societally consequential music genres is not the place for you.

If I made comments that made it appear that I was apathetic about racism and people who support sexual assaulters, I would be mortified though.

I didn't and and I don't and I've made it clear so many times already. So no I'm not mortified at all.

It would be a safe space if you just left me the fuck alone.

Shame someone can talk about depression and how it affects them so much and then be so rude to other people at the same time.
I personally think holding depressed people to a standard of never being rude to anybody, especially while talking about charged issues that personally effect them based on their subject position, is problematic as hell.

You're clutching now.

I'm bored.
