I kind of wish the entire song was upbeat but at the same time, I like the slower sections ... kind of like missA's "Hush" where the song didn't really pick up until the second verse yet it's still amazing. I wouldn't say "Lovekiller" is amazing but it's better than everything TEEN TOP put out last year.
Also, here's a little video from Rainbow showing how they made the promo images. Unfortunately there is no clips of songs in the videos but it's still cool to watch!

Is anyone else watching the trainwreck that is Unpretty Rapstar?
I haven't really gone beyond Korean music to explore dramas or reality TV, but this show is just too ridiculous to pass up.

I've watched the first two episodes. I don't know what I expected but I expected them to be a lot more vicious, but I suppose in Korea this is supposed to be quite harsh. But also, is it just me or did you expect them to be... better? Some of them are just ridiculous and their are a lot of idol rappers who are better, but I suppose half of them might not be able to freestyle etc.
I had some of the same thoughts as you. The way I see it, they can't be vicious because it is Korea after all. I found it funny that when they're all together they pretty much act friendly, but when they're doing their solo interviews that's when the trash talking comes out. Jolly V and Tymee are a perfect example of this. I don't expect them to be best friends, but I somewhat expect them not to act like they're buddies. What was the point of releasing diss tracks if you're not gonna stick to your guns. Weak!
I am a little suprised by how horrible some of them are. Lil Cham and Jessi are a waste of space. Cheetah is miles ahead of everyone else. Tymee is a disappointment and Jimin is the big surprise for me. Jidam is pretty impressive for someone so young.
Jimin is proof that some idols could be relevant on the show, but she's got a lot of work to do. I can only think of a couple, like LE, Baby J and Jucy that could fit in nicely.
I agree that rapping isn't just about being able to freestyle. To be honest, none of what these girls are doing can be considered freestyling. Even one of the performers said that some girls came with material prepared for their intro cyphers.
Surprisingly, Jimin has written some pretty decent stuff on the show. Tymee's latest part in Episode 3 was really good, but she's still massively disappointing. She talks a big game, but blows it hard. Yuk Jidam has also written some very impressive stuff. She's still in high school! This recap of episode 3 has Tymee's rap screencapped.
"I'm Sorry" was great when it first came out but I grew tired of it after a week, unfortunately.
Unpretty Rapstar is hilarious. It's no SMTM that's for sure. Lil Cham is disappointing for me just because she's done some good collaborations but has yet to impress me what so ever in this show (other than calling Jessi and bitch, that was great). Her awkward dancing is entertaining but for the wrong reason ... oh and "naega naega naega naega naega naega, whoa" haha ... From the episode 4 previews it looks like Tymee and Jolly V get to reignite their rivalry. Tymee yet again calling Jolly V fat and all that jazz. I like Tymee though and understood her rap from episode 3 as she was doing it ... don't really know what was confusing about it. In fact it's probably one of the best raps this show has seen. Cheetah, I agree, is miles ahead of everyone else. Jidam has definitely improved. She is a great lyricist/story teller and very impressive as a rapper.
Kangnam pretty much said in episode 3 that the only reason he wanted to work with Jimin was because she's popular and it would bring in more money. He didn't say anything about her skills as a rapper. He'll learn.

Song of the year so far and it's not even remotely close. I swear these R&B girls are out to keep topping each other.
Yeah I was thinking you'd like it! THat's the product of working on a track for a year, I guess. Not sure why the Korean scene isn't making more out of these amazing DIY artists.
