K-Pop (General Discussion)

With You, Hit That Drum and Blue Lemonade are all 10/10 and better than Power Up.

Not fully sold to Mr E yet but I feel like it would have made a better lead.

The hook in Power Up just reminds me of Have A Nice Day by the Stereophonics.

EDIT: The fact that Hit That Drum arrived a month to late to go on any of my Pride playlists is homophobic.

The worst thing happened to me this morning, one of my ear buds fell off on the way into work, so I've been half bopping to the new Red Velvet mini.

From what my right ear can tell, this is a pretty fun summer mini, but Power Up does weirdly seem like the weakest thing here (who knows?...perhaps my left ear will bop to this more). My follicles are not ready to experience the über bop that is Hit The Drum in surround sound (speaking of...where is our f(x) reunion SM?)

Power Up, Blue Lemonade? Cute. Hit That Drum? Great for a Zumba class. Now, With You...can't believe they invented Christmas in summer time. Australia who? And Joy ad-libbing her heart out near the end then Wendy catching up, howling all the way to the stratosphere...it's a beautiful moment.

I don't know if this was posted, but Seo In Young's new single 'Close Your Eyes' came out the other day. I still long for another 'Anymore' era from In Young but this new track is beautiful. I don't know if her career will ever recover from the captured footage of her being a diva.

I like the RV mini more than I should...a stan is born.

wig evaporated at Hit That Drum
Mr. E is unique with that incredible pre-chorus stuttering whisper bit and bombastic chorus. Would have been an AMAZING lead. Miss Terry is SHOOK.
Mosquito is full of swag with that mind melting chorus, help, it seriously reminds me of an old classic Namie track!
Blue Lemonade is immaculately crafted.
Even Power Up in it's banana plink plonk glory manages to vaporize my buss

Their summer mini's are really a party and celebration of all the sounds that make Red Velvet so much fun to stan, and show so much versatility and serve bops while doing it.

Sis In Young’s music career was dead way before the leaked footage. She’s always been more of a variety show celebrity than a credible singer (except for a few ballads.)
