One of the emerging trends that I like from 4th gen K-pop groups is that their debut songs are often just 3-minute-long sales pitches for their group's concept (see also aespa, REDSQUARE, woo!ah!, STAYC gworls). If I had a nickel for every time somebody snuck in "purple kiss (inaudible mumbling)" in this song I could easily afford my Internet bill this month.

The song's pretty good, but the self-aggrandizing is what takes it over the top for me. A+++ marketing.

Oh my god, the amount of second-hand embarrassment I get from these kids commenting "omg who said they can't sing, these perfect live vocals!?" on videos of performances that are clearly 100% pre-recorded... they really can't tell the difference, huh?

But then again, some groups have really good people doing this stuff, they even fake the heavy breathing into the headset, etc.

Brave Girls got their first win today! After 10 years.

Brave Girls' resurgence is literally my favourite kpop moment ever.

I can't stop crying. We did it kids.

Queens are really out here fighting against the patriarchy and ageism with a 4 year old song. I'm so happy for them and glad the girls and the song are getting their long overdue, but much deserved recognition.

Now if Brave Brothers can kindly unlearn the YG management style of keeping girl groups in the dungeon and give the girls a comeback pretty soon that'd be great.
