K-Pop (General Discussion)

Let the implosion begin!

I wonder who did the editing and directing for XG's new MV because it's genuinely, like, really good. It's the type of MV that would usually come off as extremely tacky and, honestly, a bit cheap-looking, for about everybody else in K-Pop, even the ones that actually have big budgets to spend. And yet, here, it really works.

Directed by Rigendfilm. Some of their work includes ITZY's Loco, TWICE's Scientist and CHUNG HA's Stay Tonight.

Yeah it's a bit crazy. It's like the perfect alignment of budget, creative vision and technical skill to pull it off. Because conceptually its not exactly breaking new ground? But its just aggressively well executed lmao.

When I first got into XG with 'mascara' I was kinda worried they might fade into obscurity but their label seems very serious about making waves. Apparently Hikaru is meant to join this group after she's done with Kep1er which is... kind of hard to imagine, but I'm excited to see it happen.

Anyway, thank you Shooting Star for saving my life. I can't stop listening to it.
