K-Pop (General Discussion)

Returned to the thread just to pay my respect to Moonbin as I was a big Astro fan for the first 2/3rds of their career especially. He was only 25 man…ugh, in my whole KPOP listening career, I maybe all together (including casually) listen to 20 groups?…out of those 20, this is the 4TH group something like this has happened. It hurts my heart, breaks my soul, and makes me question why I’m continuing to “feed the beast”. R.I.P. Moonbin…

Sadly it's been confirmed by Fantagio:

This is Fantagio.

First of all, we would like to apologize for the sad, heartbreaking news.

On April 19, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left us to become a star in the sky.

Although we cannot compare our sorrow to to the grief that the bereaved families is feeling, losing a beloved son and brother, the ASTRO members, fellow Fantagio artists, company executives, and employees are mouring the deceased in great sadness and shock.

It is even more heartbreaking to deliver this news so suddenly to the fans who have supported Moonbin and sent him their love. We are heartbroken because we know the feelings of the deceased, who always loved and thought of his fans more than anyone else.

We sincerely ask you to refrain from speculative and malicious reports so that the bereaved families, who are in a state of great sadness and sorrow due to the sudden news, can honor the deceased.

According to the wishes of the bereaved families, the funeral will be held as quietly as possible with the family members and company colleagues.

Once again, we send our deepest condolences to the deceased.

The first time that I met with ASTRO's music was through my friends' sister. Now this memory will have a missing piece forever. So sad to hear this painfully heartbreaking news today. I wish the patience to his loved ones.

It’s devastating to realize that we never truly know what’s behind even the brightest of smiles, as his was.

Definitely. All the remains are unanswered questions now...
