Memories become the first WJSN track to be eliminated in this rate.
Memories is also part of long-standing collaborations of
e.one and WJSN, which can be seen as continuation of previous works like Miracle and Renaissance.
At first, I was a bit confused how
Memories made it to this rate instead of the OG Miracle. I remembered I wasn't really a big fan of this when it was released, due to exhaustion from
e.one formula. However upon further listening, I must say
Memories stands out a bit compared to the predecessor and I enjoy it better now.
If Miracle and Renaissance seems like they try to capture once again the magic of Secret with their grandiose feeling and swooping strings,
Memories takes a more organic approach. The string is still there, but now the guitar and piano are a bit more prominent. Another distinct difference is in the melody.
e.one has tendency to go overboard in writing melodies, putting twists and interesting chord progressions. In
Memories,
e.one take a more straightforward way, resulting in a refreshingly sentimental feeling into it without being too heavy.
Nobody said anything about this song, huh ? Except ms
@thommyh who said :
"god, I miss gfriend." I see it but I also don't see it ? I see it closer to anything April done, but let me recommend a Gfriend song that resembles a bit.
