Where did this kween come from? Who among y'all launched a campaign for her? I have so many questions as Didi Han's debuts on our album chart with her new album, Wake Up. Here's a short and sweet single album from one of 2021's breakout stars, OnlyOneOf. I really liked the vibe of this album with night flight being my favourite of the three songs. I still feel sad that this turned out to be Love's final release as a member of the group though....... You will be missed, oppa!

Not gonna lie, I thought this album would suck so bad..... but it didn't. It's actually very, very competent! And I like all the songs (with the exception of Is this bad bitches number? for some odd reason) but Weather is far and away the best thing here. A stunner!

Our June 2021 number 1 album slips to the number 9 spot for its second month in our charts. But maybe that's because it gave way to another Twice album. Kii! This is still on heavy rotation for me. Truly Album of the Year material.

Despite the forum's divided opinion on D.O.'s single, Rose, I actually expected his album to do a lot better than this. Like, I thought it was a top 5 shoo-in for sure. But I guess y'all had other plans. I feel like Rose was the wrong single choice especially when I'm Gonna Love You is right there. Still, I enjoyed this album despite its overreliance on D.O.'s admittedly stunning vocals. Truly not bad for a first album.

FFFFFFF nawt Dowoon and co. scamming their way into the top 5? Ah, I love when talent is validated! Right Through Me is the DAY6's first subunit's second mini album... and let me just say, this is a marked improvement from their first one. I love the retro quality of the songs. Right Through Me (the song) is the perfect single but I also have to commend my other faves namely from the ending of a tragedy (that chorus... the range!) and Home Alone (groovy little ditty).

BOO, THIS DESERVED TOP 3!!! But for a non-KPJ darling like AKMU, I will count this as a massive win keke. Next Episode is AKMU's ambitious new album where they collaborated with seven different artists across seven songs and I'm just... in awe of the level of quality here. I've already accepted that AKMU were only gonna release ballads but they really surprised me with this album. My initial faves are Hey Kid, Close Your Eyes (with Lee Sun Hee), NAKKA (with IU) and Everest (with Sam Kim). But the other tracks are only growing on me with every listen. Seriously, please give this album a chance, unnies!!!

It was a close fight but just falling short of copping the top spot is Dreamcatcher's special album, [Summer Holiday]. Still, for a super late release, ending up as runner-up is iconique enough so don't feel too sad, Dreamcatcher and InSomnias.

I honestly think I have outgrown Dreamcatcher's ~sound~ already but I cannot deny that [Summer Holiday] is one of their best albums. It's definitely up there. The single, BEcause, is great, but it's the album tracks that really sell the whole thing. Tracks like Whistle and Airplane and especially Alldaylong (!!!) prove that Dreamcatcher have a lot more to offer. I can't wait for Dreamcatcher to explore these sounds more.

And just like that, KPJC herstory has been made. Perfect World is officially the first non-Korean album to top our album chart!!! Twice legends did that! Huge congratulations to the girls and the stans!

Perfect World is Twice's third Japanese full album and it includes previous singles such as Fanfare, Better and Kura Kura. It contains seven new songs including the title track. But my favourite new songs here are Four-leaf Clover and In the summer. That's only based on my single listen of the album though so I know my ranking of these songs will change in time.

I'm really happy that Twice has found huge success in Japan especially since they seem to be the only relevant K-Pop act now to release great original Japanese music. It's really what they deserve.
