Well now Le s5erafim can get their sophomore album to #1 as Hyo isn’t due another album until 2026 at the rate Deep took.
Sadly, I’m half convinced they let her release the album so they could announce the SNSD comeback not even 24 hours later.
My favourite volleyball team lost their match today so I’m not in the best mood. I apologize in advance if I’m unnecessarily mean towards you or your favourite songs when I reveal the results later.
I'm back!! Okay, let's get this party started!! (me faking enthusiasm) SONGS 35 DON'T CARE ABOUT ME GOT7 from the GOT7 mini album Warner Music Korea 23 points Voters: 8 - @eliminathan, @Macsun 7 - @Salami Oh this is a lovely slice of R&B from the GOT7 lads. Again, more R&B from GOT7 please! eliminathan: Jinyoung's pen never fails! (SOL: I... read that wrong kii!) ⓀⓅⒿⒸ 34 HOW COME Brave Girls from the How Come single album Brave Entertainment 23 points Voters: 6 - @TéléDex 5 - @Crafty 4 - @Remorque 3 - @He 2 - @Ana Raquel, @GeiPanda 1 - @Empty Shoebox It's definitely not as good as the Brown Eyed Girls original because let's face it, Brave Girls just don't have the vocals. But this is a cute cover, all things considered! ⓀⓅⒿⒸ 33 DO YOU WANNA GET DOWN LUNARSOLAR from the Do You Wanna Get Down single album JPlanet Entertainment 24 points Voters: 10 - @soratami 7 - @thommyh, @Remorque Oh no, these kweens! I still can't believe they disbanded just like that... after releasing two masterpieces (Oh Ya Ya Ya and DADADA). I'm glad they got to release a disbandment single though... and that it isn't a ballad. Kweens till the end! ⓀⓅⒿⒸ 32 TELL ME ONE MORE TIME CLASS:y from the Class Is Over mini album M25 27 points Voters: 9 - @codecat, @Empty Shoebox 8 - @FunkyButChic 1 - @junglefish UGHHHHHH this is the last song I removed from my ballot and I'm still not sure if I did the right thing (one of the songs I voted didn't even bubble under). But yes, Tell Me One More Time is a juggernaut of a song. Seriously, this is the b-side we should be talking about instead of [redacted] and [redacted]! ⓀⓅⒿⒸ 31 WAKA BOOM (MY WAY) Hyolyn (feat. Lee Young Ji) from the <Queendom2> Final mini album Stone Music Entertainment 27 points Voters: 10 - @eliminathan 8 - @Overdose 5 - @Salami 3 - @BEST FICTION 1 - @TéléDex Objectively, this is a bad song but I can't help but bop? Ugh, Hyolyn, ha power! She definitely was robbed on Queendom though FFFFF but I guess it's nice that the Korean public knows about her again! Hopefully they show up for her upcoming comeback too! eliminathan: The instrumental is so loud and noisy but the LIVE performance she did on the Queendom final...I saw the vision! She was like let me throw in some high notes and overpower the instrumental and it worked. Far and away the most talented singer and the most talented dancer in the entire roster of Queendom/Kingdom contestants in all seasons combined. When I say mother was robbed that is an understatement. Overdose: Hyolyn may not have won Queendom (she did in my head) but she served talent and performing excellence the entire time. Bring on the comeback queen! (the official Mnet upload is not available in the Philippines FFFFF)
SONGS 30 TO MY FIRST NCT Dream from the Beatbox repackage album SM Entertainment 27 points Last Month's Position: N/A Peak Position: 30 Months on Chart: 1 Voters: 8 - @Slice of Life 6 - @vague 5 - @aux, @askew 2 - @leedlelee... 1 - @boombazookajoe We start our main song chart with the excellence that is To My First, NCT Dream's second album track to ever chart on KPJC (the first one was Dreaming). And yes, this has easily displaced It's Yours and Better Than Gold as my favourite album track from the Glitch Mode/Beatbox album. It reminds of a song by C**** B**** but lemme not mention him explicitly because I don't want NCT Dream's name to be connected in any way to that fucker. This is NCT Dream's best R&B track yet and I love that it sounds... well, still very NCT Dream. It's not trying to be too mature but it packs enough maturity to sell the emotional aspect of the song. With the way I'm replaying this song every single day, it might just top 1, 2, 3 as my favourite NCT Dream album track ever. Obsessed!
29 HOPE TO BE LIKE YOU WOODZ from the Colorful Trauma mini album Yuehua Entertainment 28 points Last Month's Position: N/A Peak Position: 29 Months on Chart: 1 Voters: 10 - @Slice of Life 7 - @Sanctuary 5 - @vague, @Lately 1 - @Glitterizer Yes, I totally gave my 10 points to this little known WOODZ album track and I regret nothing! Hope To Be Like You has now become WOODZ' first album track to chart on KPJC so congrats to you, Fruity Oppa! Hope To Be Like You is kind of an anomaly in a very rock-centric album as Colorful Trauma. It's delicate and emotional and soft - very not rock. But good god, it's so good! I was unsure at first if this sound suits WOODZ because it's very unlike the image he projects. But he sings it so beautifully that I embraced it wholeheartedly as soon as hit my second play. Shout out to my girl Jennie of BLACKPINK for promoting this song on her Instagram stories! Thank you for supporting indie music, kween!
28 AURA WJSN from the <Queendom2> Final mini album Stone Music Entertainment 29 points Last Month's Position: N/A Peak Position: 28 Months on Chart: 1 Voters: 7 - @Trinu 3.0 5 - @eliminathan 4 - @ultraviolet, @TéléDex 3 - @Crafty, @GeiPanda 2 - @Serg. 1 - @eatyourself Congratulations for winning the second season of Queendom, kweens! Hopefully your upcoming comeback song/album is better than this though. eliminathan: Did not deserve the Queendom win based on the performance but this final song was the best of the 6 by far. (the official Mnet upload is not available in the Philippines FFFFF)
27 OPENING SEQUENCE TXT from the minisode 2: Thursday's Child mini album Big Hit Entertainment 34 points Last Month's Position: N/A Peak Position: 27 Months on Chart: 1 Voters: 8 - @Glitterizer, @Lately 7 - @leedlelee... 6 - @KimLippington 5 - @chrisjche Our first TXT album track for this month is Opening Sequence, the opening song of their album. Mind of a mastermind! Opening Sequence is now the third TXT b-side to chart on KPJC after Ghosting and Frost. Hmmmm, I'm not really sure about this song just yet. I love the emo image its giving me but I don't know, it just has yet to grow on me, I guess. Excellent production though!
26 BUT YOU iKON from the Flashback mini album YG Entertainment 34 points Last Month's Position: N/A Peak Position: 26 Months on Chart: 1 Voters: 10 - @Wills 7 - @SloMover 5 - @Sanctuary 4 - @chrisjche, @leedlelee... 3 - @Overdose 1 - @Slice of Life FFFFFF now why did I think this would do A LOT better than this? Like, y'all can't really send this gorgeous 80s bop in the top 20? I hate it here! Anyway, yes, But You is iKON's best single in a long, long time. I love that it's a completely new sound for them but they sound at home on it. The vocals are topnotch and I just love Bobby's rap parts FFFFF. He always kills it!
25 MARCH Seventeen from the Face the Sun album Pledis Entertainment 35 points Last Month's Position: N/A Peak Position: 25 Months on Chart: 1 Voters: 9 - @Overdose 8 - @Wills, @leedlelee... 7 - @KimLippington 3 - @Slice of Life Wow, the boys are dominating the bottom part of our song chart huh. Kii! This time, it's Seventeen's excellent album track, March. This is Seventeen's second album track to chart on KPJC after the also iconique Same Dream, Same Mind, Same Night back in June 2021. I guess I'll admit now that I voted for March instead of the single (Hot) just because I think it is the better song. I also could've voted for Shadow but I saw people rallying for March so I joined their agenda instead kekeke. But yes, March is so, so good. It even sounds like a single! I hope we get at least one live performance of it.
