Well for me these extra songs are exactly what the album needed. I wouldn't fault the standard on quality, just lacking in big tent moments which made full listens veer towards slight. Running at over an hour now, it's a world I can get lost in easier.

Yep this is exactly what a deluxe should be, I am deep in this well Kacey! So many gorgeous moments that reflect or build on the main albums themes and soundscapes. Perfect for the start of August

It's not wildly different to the point of being jarring or anything, but this suite of songs really kind of works on it's own as a completely separate sound and project from Deeper Well. I lowkey want her to add 4/5 more songs and just have it be it's own album. (I know I'm a dreamer fff but I'm loving this from her.)

This new crop of tunes is amazing.

 

[Come&GetIt24]

This is such a perfect add on and it flows so naturally together. I love the duet with Leon. This is such a sister album to Golden Hour for me. Golden Hour was such a soundtrack for my life then (and now even) and Deeper Well (and Deeper Into the Well) is feels so perfect for me right now.
Listening to Golden Hour and Deeper Well back to back on vinyl with a joint is exactly what I needed on this Friday night.

The bonus songs are so good! Little Sister made me cry! I also knew I’d love Superbloom, and Perfection. This album has really spoken to me. Flower Child is fantastic too!

Loving the new songs. I get why they were left off as they do feel like outliers from the main tracklist, but they're all so strong. Perfection and Arm's Length are probably my favorites.

Oh, I know “Ruthless” had been a bonus track of sorts but I only discovered it on Friday with the expanded edition and it’s gorgeous and one of the strongest efforts on the album.

She had quite the turn out in Jersey City for her farmers market pop up. I got there around 12:30, and managed to snag the tortoise shell vinyl (there were only 3 left in the crate!), a bandana and a shirt for a friend. Cute Etsy tie-ins.

I had a realization in listening to the bonus tracks that Deeper Well standard felt like a soft recalibration in two ways: the obvious sonic variation to something more woodsy/folk, but also in how her songwriting on the original fourteen songs felt more observational than confessional when compared to the direct approach of star-crossed. These bonus tracks feel more illuminating into Kacey as a person and as a result, the album ends up more arresting when both songwriting approaches are given equal balance. I'm stanning hard again, basically.

I'd honestly bin "The Architect" but I feel like that's an unpopular opinion. It doesn't do anything for me, and I'd have gladly put "Ruthless" in it's place.

Ruthless is such a wonderful inclusion, as are most of the new songs as a wonderful change of pace, but I can't imagine losing anything on the original album.

This is a gorgeous album, from Cardinal to Irish Goodbye, every song hits where it needs to.

Cardinal is my favourite song on the album and I think it’s perfect as the opener, drawing you into the vibe of the record.

The deluxe songs are just amazing. I find it hard to toy with this album because it goes into ~vibes and one thing leads to another, especially the middle suite of songs under 3:00 minutes, but Ruthless, Perfection, Arm's Lenght & Irish Goodbye are outstanding and give the album some new legs.

I'd cut Jade Green from the standard album if I had to pick one, but otherwise it's pretty much perfect in my eyes. I still need to fully... immerse myself in the deluxe tracks...

Cutting songs off the album that finally has enough runtime for the listener to properly get DEEPER and WELL? Girls are really thankless. Nothing is so bad that it necessitates cutting, even now when we have 20 tracks.
