Kacey Musgraves - Deeper into the Well

He/Him/His
Deeper Well has marinated so nicely into a springtime treat. I didn't spend as much time with it upon release, but after seeing her live last year, revisiting tracks here and there, and diving back in full-force this week, it really is a comforting gem of an album.

Let me prance around with a flock of geese and enter my homestead tradwife era!

Just saw her and she was fantastic...she sounds amazing live (her voice is SO smooth) and she has so much charisma. Was a little surprised there wasn't a ton of stuff from the new album on her setlist (Ruthless deserved a spot imo) but it was good overall. She showed star-crossed some love and Good Wife pops off live.

The unsold vinyl strikes again.
She's technically still signed to Interscope, she's just moved to their newly revived country music imprint.

As The Hollywood Reporter can announce, Musgraves is returning to the newly relaunched Lost Highway Records as the famed country label’s first signee since Interscope announced the revival a month ago, with Robert Knotts and Jake Gear taking the helm. It’s a full-circle moment for Musgraves, who got her start at Lost Highway in 2011 as its final artist signing, before the label folded into Mercury Nashville a year later after respected label head Luke Lewis retired.

Sounds exciting! Similar to when Republic relaunched Mercury Records and moved some of their artists over there. She sounds thrilled about it and excited for what’s to come.

So cute it’s her grandpa that opens Lost Highway

This label switch reminds me of when Capitol used to move their flop artists to Blue Note even though there's nothing jazz about their music dd.
