Am I allowed to quite like her? She's not the most amazing singer, it's all a bit contrived, and I completely understand why she's been cast as the villain. But I just really like her off-the-wall style.

Agreed. Everything about her is a bit contrived, but at least she's trying.

Do we all think, for example, that Paloma Faith was less contrived when she was doing the rounds??

I dont hate her but I dislike her quite alot. Her voice is also quite shit I feel. Will be very surprised if she isn't in the bottom two on sat.

I think Katie and Sony/BMG are obviously in cahoots to make her this years Danyl but at the expense of good singers it is annoying.
She has though dated a dwarf and supported Andy Abraham in concert which makes me hate her less.

I think she's great. I love her voice, I downloaded all her pre-X-Factor songs, and espcially liked Maybe Baby and Whole Lotta Love.

I also like the fact that most of the UK are treating her like the devil in human form at the moment.

I dunno, there are people who want something really bad, then there's people like her who will seemingly do anything/one to get to where they want to be.

There's no way someone like Tesco Mary or Gamu would have got as far as she has if they'd fucked up 2 out of the 3 auditions we saw on tele.

I love how she's got her feet under so much. It's all so obviously rigged, they have not even tried to hide it, have they?

It makes me laugh that you can buy her music and watch her online TV show while all this is happening, it's almost like Alex Gardner or Mini Viva getting through to the final 12 or something.

I can't stand her. I struggle to watch her for more than ten seconds before hurling abuse (and a shoe) at the tv. It's totally irrational but you know what, I don't care.

I will eventually feel bad when the inevitable backlash goes WAAAAAAAY over the top.

I agree.

I HATE her personality and how she hasn't sung a single song and got through on begging, but I think with the right work and a fucking attitude makeover / punch in the face from Cheryl, she could be good.
